Happy Labor Day to those who celebrate.

As you can tell by looking at the list of what I watched this week, I am currently busy getting ready for our annual October horrorthon!  Last year, the site had 716 horror-related posts in October.  Could 2026 be the year that we hit 1,000?

Eh, a thousand is a lot.  So, I’m not going to make any promises because I’d rather post some well-written reviews than just rush everything out to hit an arbitrary quota.  I’d love to a hit a thousand but what I would love even more is for this site to have the greatest Horrorthon ever.  Maybe both can happen!  Either way, I’m looking forward to October!

Yesterday was America’s birthday and what a glorious 250 years it has been.  I loved the celebrations this year.  My family and I have been out at Lake Texoma.  Yesterday, we watched as the sky was lit up with fireworks and it was wonderful!  I’m also very proud of our 4th of July celebrations here on the Shattered Lens!  Erin did a wonderful job, didn’t she?

In fact, on July 4th, 2026, I am proud to say that this site set a personal best as far as views and clicks are concerned!  Thank you to everyone who visited and read!
