Tom Cruise is going to dig us out of this mess in the Digger Trailer!

Okay, Disaster/Comedy it is?

Warner Bros. just released the full trailer for Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Digger, which is kind of giving off a mix of Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove and some classic Coen Brothers fare. It also features more of the cast, which includes Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal), Sandra Hüller (Project Hail Mary), John Goodman (Kong: Skull Island), Emma D’Arcy (HBO’s House of the Dragon), Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me), Robert John Burke (HBO’s The Last of Us), Jesse Plemons (Bugonia), a trio of Guillermo Del Toro actors in Burn Gorman (Pacific Rim), Corey Johnson (Hellboy) and Michael Stuhlberg (The Shape of Water).

Tom Cruise’s character looks like he sets off a chain of events that he’ll have to set right, though how, we’ll have to find out when the film premieres later this year.

Enjoy!

People are climbing dangerously again in the Fall 2:Deadpoint trailer!

This past Saturday, I went to the movies to see Craig Gillespie’s Supergirl. This was one of the trailers before the film. Though I enjoyed Scott Mann’s Fall back in 2022 (not to be confused at all with 1997’s spicy romance film with the same name), I didn’t think there’d be a sequel for it. Thanks to Netflix and bingewatching, the popularity for the film soared and now here we are. The Spierig Brothers (DaybreakersJigsaw) are taking over the directing duties for the second film, with a third already in the works.

The film stars Harriet Slater (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) and Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), who are climbing places they just shouldn’t.

Enjoy!

Robert Eggers shifts to Lycanthropy in the Werwulf trailer!

I’m kind of liking this trend of Robert Eggers in putting out something spooky/creepy on Christmas. His latest film, Werwulf borrows about 80 percent of the main cast from his remake of Nosferatu. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Ralph Ineson, and of course, Willem Dafoe are all on hand here. Even composer Robin Carolan and Cinematographer Jarin Blaschke are back. I’m curious to know what his take on werewolves are here. Will get something spectral, like Michael Wadleigh’s Wolfen or perhaps it’s a bit more personal, like Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man? Either way, we’ll find out this holiday season.

Enjoy!

Pierce Brosnan Is Brendan Ingle In The Trailer For Giant

Back in the day, my favorite boxer was Britain’s own Naseem Hamed, a flamboyant showman who always turned his entrance into a production but who could also back up his ego in the ring.  A lot of my friends couldn’t stand Prince Naseem, as he was known, and they used to watch HBO Boxing specifically hoping to see him lose.  In retrospect, he was one of the last of the genuinely entertaining boxers.

Giant, which has already been released to generally positive reviews in the UK, stars Amir El-Masry as Hamed and Pierce Brosnan in the role of Hamed’s trainer, the legendary Brendan Ingle.  Judging from the just-released trailer, Brosnan, who always been the most underrated of all the actors who played James Bond, is almost unidentifiable in the role of Ingle.

Giant will be released in the U.S. later this year.

A chill in the air comes with Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil trailer!

Constantin Film really could use a win when it comes to the Resident Evil movies. Despite veering off the path of most Capcom’s video game franchise, their movies were both successful (to a degree) and enjoyable. Though I didn’t catch 2021’s Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, my cousin tells me it’s pretty awful.

I woke up this morning to find Zach Cregger’s developed his own entry to the series, and his name alone is enough to spur a bit of excitement. As the director of 2022’s Barbarian and 2025’s Academy Award Winner (for Amy Madigan), Weapons, he has an idea of how to bring a bit of horror on the screen. Add to that, Darius Wolski (The CrowDark CityAlien: Covenant) is handling the cinematography. Maybe they’re on to something here?

It looks like the film takes place in a snowy area, and I’m not entirely sure it has any real connection to the games (or prior films), but honestly, perhaps a fresh start is the way to go here. The film reunites Cregger with his Weapons star Austin Abrams (that tent fellow), along with Paul Walter Hauser (Fantastic Four: First Steps), Kali Reis (Mercy) and Zach Cherry (Amazon’s Fallout). We’ll find out when Resident Evil premieres in cinemas on September 18th.

Here’s the Super Bowl Spot For Disclosure Day

Disclosure Day is Steven Spielberg’s latest film.  We really don’t know much about it, beyond the fact that it appears to be science fiction and it stars Emily Blunt.

The Super Bowl spot is certainly intriguing.  I’m looking forward to unraveling this film’s mysteries.
