Woo hoo!  Another week of the October horrorthon is in the books!

This is Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, a painting that is currently displayed at the National Gallery in London.  Anyone who would damage this painting doesn’t deserve to have their ideas heard.  They may be good idea.  They may be bad ideas.  But the minute you attack a work of art, I stop listening.

(Years from now, someone will come across this post and have no idea why I’m going on about Van Gogh.  Hopefully, Google will still be around.)

Lisa Marie’s Week In Review: 8/29/22 — 9/04/22


There I was, relaxing out by my uncle’s pool in my American flag bikini when, suddenly, the biggest and most violent thunderstorm in the world came along and I had to go running inside while thunder rumbled and lightning flashed all around me.  It was a two and a half minute run and I still ended up getting totally soaked.

That’s how my Labor Day weekend is going!

Lisa Marie’s Week In Review: 8/15/22 — 8/21/22


I returned from Lake Texoma from Monday, fully convinced that having taken a few days off would lead to me attacking everything with a renewed energy and vigor.  Instead, the opposite happened and now I’m counting the days until I get away again.

On the positive side, we are currently preparing for October here at the Shattered Lens!  At last count, we’ve already got 155 post ready to go for October and we’re just getting started!  October is my favorite of the month and the start of my favorite season of the year and I can’t wait to share it with all of our readers here at the Shattered Lens!

Never underestimate the importance of getting away from everything, even if just for a few days.

(I imagine that may seem a strange thing to say in a post that’s illustrated with the poster for the Evil Dead remake but the mistake in Evil Dead was not going to the cabin.  The mistake was reading the obviously demonic book.)
