Just a terrific film…funny but heartwarming – this with “Bowfinger” is the perfect double bill to celebrate those who made cult cinema!

I’m surprised at how many people are still unfamiliar with Ed Wood. I mention the film to others, but most people think I’m talking about Edward Scissorhands.
Bowfinger is another largely overlooked film. The character played by Steve Martin in said film is very much like Edward D. Wood Jr.
Once upon a time in movies, it was usually a case of having more talent than money, even if the talent was in short supply. Now, it is a case of having much more money than talent. I will never stop saying that Hollywood is, speaking generally, rather wasteful. There are extremely well-funded movies that are far less entertaining than Plan 9 from Outer Space.
