Music Video of the Day: Now I’m In It by Haim (2020, dir by Paul Thomas Anderson)

I definitely know the feeling.  I have yet to see a Haim video to which I can not relate.

This video was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, who did several videos for Haim and did such a good job with all of them that I personally think he might have a future in feature films.

Enjoy!

Song of the Day: Theme From CHiPs by John Parker and Alan Silvestri

As today is Erik Estrada’s birthday, it’s obvious what today’s song of the day has to be.

No matter what you may think of the show, this theme has one of the greatest bass lines of all time.  If you’re not dancing, you might want to call 911.

Song of the Day: Cleopatra Enters Rome by Alex North

Since today is the Ides of March, it only makes sense that today’s song of the day should have the feel of the ancient Roman world.  From the soundtrack of 1963’s Cleopatra (stop it, it’s a fun movie!), here is Cleopatra Enters Rome, composed by Alex North!

Music Video of the Day: Leave by Jessica Simpson (2025, dir by ????)

Today’s music video of the day is the latest from Jessica Simpson.  Jessica Simpson actually went to my high school, though she was a student long before I got there.  She was often held up as an example of what we, as students, could achieve even though she dropped out without graduating.

In other words, don’t worry too much about that diploma.

Enjoy!

Song of the Day: Fargo, North Dakota by Carter Burwell

Since it’s William H. Macy’s birthday, it only makes sense that today’s song of the day should come from a film that is not only one of Macy’s best but which also features one of the best score ever recorded.  From Carter Burwell, here is Fargo, North Dakota.
