Song of the Day: Run Fay Run by Isaac Hayes
Isaac Hayes would have been 83 years old today. Today’s song of the day is an instrumental track that Hayes wrote for the Tough Guys soundtrack. Quentin Tarantino later reused the track in Kill Bill.
Music Video of the Day: Rebel Rebel by David Bowie (2004, dir by Marcus Viner)
Erin and I lost our aunt tonight.
She loved this song.

My Dad loved this song.
Music Video of the Day: Hey You by The Belair Lip Bombs (2025, dir by Angus Fielder)
More bands need to wear suits when performing. That is something that I have always strongly believed. This video proves my point.
Enjoy!
Song of the Day: She’s Like The Wind by Patrick Swayze
Today, in celebration of the birthday of Patrick Swayze, our song of the day is one that he wrote for Dirty Dancing. Enjoy She’s Like The Wind.
Music Video of the Day: Natural One by The Folk Implosion (1995, dir by Michael and David Udris and Larry Clark)
This song was written for the soundtrack of the 1995 film, Kids, and the video if made up of scenes from the Larry Clark-directed film (along with another story about space exploration). Oddly enough, the song itself doesn’t actually appear in the film.
Enjoy!
Brad’s Video of the Day – “Sunday in the South” by Shenandoah, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan!
The country group Shenandoah released “Sunday in the South” back in 1989 when I was 16 years old. As a southerner myself from Arkansas, I remember liking the song, but I was today years old when I realized that it had been updated to include Shenandoah, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. Enjoy my friends!
Song of the Day: Robert De Niro’s Waiting…. by Bananarama
Seeing as how today is Robert De Niro’s birthday, this 1984 tune seems like an obvious pick for song of the day!
Brad’s Song of the Day – Elvis Presley’s “Riding the Rainbow” with Charles Bronson!
Elvis Presley passed away 48 years ago on August 16th, 1977, at just 42 years of age. I’ve always been so happy that Elvis worked with my movie hero Charles Bronson on the 1962 film KID GALAHAD. In this little musical number, Elvis drives and sings while Bronson looks on with a sweet smile on his face. I love it. #RIPKing
