The Dodgers Have Won The World Series!!!!!

Yes!  It may have taken extra innings!  They may have spent the entire game behind or tied until the 11th inning!  The important thing is that the Dodgers have won the World Series!  Our crops have been saved!  Congratulations to the Dodgers and thank you for defeating the Blue Jays.  That was one of the most exciting World Series that I have ever seen and, in the end, the right team won.

Now, when does Spring Training start?  I’m already looking forward to a new season of cheers, tears, and baseball!

Go Rangers!

Another Halloween Has Come and Gone

Another Halloween has come and gone and another Horrorthon has come to a close.  We hope you have had a wonderful October and that the Thanksgiving month brings you much to be grateful for!

And remember, just because you didn’t see the Great Pumpkin this year, doesn’t mean that he won’t be there for you next October.  As always, Linus puts it best:

To all of our readers and from all of your friends at the Shattered Lens, thank you.

The Dodgers Win Game 6!

It’s a Halloween miracle!

My prayer to the Great Pumpkin paid off and the Dodgers just won Game 6 of the World Series, 3-1!  The Series is now tied and whoever win tomorrow’s game will win the championship!  As much as I don’t like the Blue Jays and even though the Dodgers are not my team, those two teams have really give us a great World Series so far!

It all comes down to Game 7, tomorrow night.  GO DODGERS!

And never doubt the power of the Great Pumpkin!

A Scene That I Love For Halloween: The Rules of Trick-Or-Treating From Curb Your Enthusiasm

We did not get many trick-or-treaters tonight but the ones that did show up were all wearing costumes and were all age-appropriate.  When it comes to giving out candy, I follow the rules set out by Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Remember: no costumes = no candy!

Have A Culty Halloween With The Pulps

Since the start of the pulp era, cults have been a popular subject.  Usually dressed in red and concealing their faces behind hoods, cult members have menaced and frightened.

For this Halloween, here are some of the cults of the pulp era.
