I shared this scene two years ago and then again last year but sometimes a scene is so great that you have to share it thrice. Here, to honor America, is Snoopy performing the National Anthem.
I hope everyone has a great 4th of July!

It wasn’t difficult to pick today’s song of the day. Here is the National Anthem, performed not by the usual highly-paid celebrities but instead, by the class of 2012 at my old high school. I think they did a great job!
During the summer, from May to July, one of our local churches plants flags across the town and hangs ribbons on the street signs. It may not seem like much but it’s something that I look forward to every year. It’s reminder that we’re more than just a location. We’re a community.
Previous Moments:
With this being Independence Day weekend, it seems appropriate to take a moment and pay our respects to one of the first female super heroes of World War II, Miss Victory! In an age dominated by super-powered men, she was a woman who simply decided that she could better aid her country by wearing a costume and fighting its enemies. By day, she was Joan Wayne, a stenographer. But, when America’s enemies needed a good beat down, she became Miss Victory!
Happy Independence Day!
This is my favorite holiday, Today is a day when we think about the past, consider the present, and have hope for the future. America has been through a lot in its history. It’s been through a lot in just my lifetime! Some people like to get down on America but there’s no other country that I would rather live in. This is my country and I love it.
From the Shattered to Lens to you, have a safe and healthy 4th of July!

Every 4th of July, the neighborhood is full of flags. This is one of my favorites.

Every summer, the small American flags appear all over our town.

This is a picture that I took the morning after a huge storm.
