I did the first US TV interview Von Trier ever did, at the Cannes sFilm Festival, where he finally travelled for “Dancer In The Dark” – word was that “Breaking The Waves” lost the Palme D’Or a few years earlier only because he wouldn’t go to the festival….he was funny, articulate and clearly the anarchist….
