Since I reviewed the film earlier today, I guess it makes sense that today’s horror scene that I love should be the cemetery scene from Hammer’s The Plague of the Zombies!
Enjoy and watch your step!

Indeed it is. I just watched the movie Friday night in Blu-ray. Gilling does an excellent job directing while Andre Morell is everything I want in a hero dong the Peter Cushing role. Ms Pearce also has another great scene when she is thrown from the height by the zombie, (Is this the last film where classic zombies were used?), and is charming and a wee bit catty being interviewed on the Extras.

I think this was one of the last films to use “classic” zombies, as opposed to the brainless flesh eaters that later came to dominate the genre. It’s interesting to think that zombies, in the original lore, were actually vegetarians.
