Artist Profile: Joseph Szokoli (1913 — 1981)
Born in New York City and educated at the Pratt Institute, Joseph Szokoli began his career as a commercial illustrator in 1934 and worked up until his death. Szokoli’s work is distinguishable from the work of his contemporaries because he worked with an airbrush, giving his covers a unique look all their own.
