In today’s music video of the day, Lenny Kravitz has something to say to the racist cab drivers who controlled the streets in the days before Uber and Lyft.
Enjoy!

I have to wonder about the point of this song. Lenny Kravitz is a multimillionaire, so he’s likely not taking the cab anywhere. Seems a bit mean to make a song that targets the lowest paid members of the working class.
Additionally, I’ve had plenty of cab drivers refuse to stop for me — and I have fair skin and blue eyes.
It doesn’t matter what colour Kravitz’s skin is, the problem is that it’s thin.
Kravitz has always struck me as a jerk, anyway. Never liked him since the controversy over the Public Enemy sample. Seems like Kravitz was (like he accuses cab drivers of doing) only thinking of himself. Money doesn’t buy class.
