I took this picture a few years ago, on a foggy October morning. Usually, this is a normal-looking neighborhood but, on that morning, it looked creepy so I had to get out there with my camera and get some pictures of it all. We had many mornings like this that October. We’ll probably have even more this October.

Happy Labor Day! In honor of the holiday, I decided to share the one picture that I’ve taken with the word “work” in it. I took this 5 years ago, when the city was doing some work a few blocks down from the house. At the time, I think I just liked the way the sign appeared to be floating over the car.

I spotted this on a tree one day while I was exploring Lookout Park. It’s always stuck with me, that promise of “Forever” that’s sat there for who knows how many years. With summer coming to an end in just a few more days and 2021 also coming to a close, this just seemed like the right picture for the first day of September.
