The Rays Win Game 4!

Posted on by Dazzling Erin

Holy crap, that was one of the best baseball games that I’ve ever seen!

Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Rays, who came back from what everyone thought was certain doom in the final extra inning and who just won their first World Series game!

12 innings, six and a half hours of baseball, and tomorrow, we’re doing it all over again! Games likes this are what I was talking about when I said that being a baseball fan means staying until the final episode.  You never know when the entire game might be turned around.

Congratulations to the Rays!  Keep it going tomorrow!

The Brewers Are Just One Game Away From Sweeping The World Series!

10-1?  Are you kidding me, Brewers!?

Tonight, the Brewers really did look unstoppable.  I may be an American League girl but I have to congratulate them.  They came in determined to win.

The Brewers are now just one game away from winning their first World Series!  As a Rangers fan, I know how exciting it is when your team finally wins its first World Series.  I also know how much it can hurt when they lose their first World Series.  I’m excited for Milwaukee but I’m sad for Tampa Bay.  The good thing, for the Rays, is that this is baseball and nothing is over until it’s over.  Never celebrate early because you never know what might happen in the next game.  The World Series isn’t over until one team has won four games and the Brewers haven’t done that yet.  They’re awfully close, though.

Congratulations to the Brewers on Winning Game Two of the World Series!

Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers on winning Game 2 of the World Series!

Just like Game One, this one felt like it could have gone either way.  We’re just two games in but this World Series really is reminding me of everything that I love about baseball!  We’ve got two likable teams, two enthusiastic fandoms, and a lot of very talented players.  I don’t even mind that the National League has jumped out to a two game lead.  Baseball is about the fundamentals and I respect any time that has mastered them as long as that team isn’t the Blue Jays.

This was another close game.  For most of it, I had one eye on The Raven and one on the field.  A good movie and a good game of baseball, that’s what I call a perfect night!

Of course, I still have to say, “Go Rays!”  There’s still a lot more baseball to be played and I’m not counting my American League champions out of anything!

Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers On Winning Game One

Tonight, I had one eye on The Giant Spider Invasion and one eye on Game One of the World Series. The movie was set in Wisconsin and, of course, this year’s World Series features the team from Wisconsin’s biggest city.  While the movie showed me that women in rural Wisconsin apparently didn’t own pants in the 1970s, the game showed me that both the Brewers and the Rays more than deserve to be representing their leagues in the World Series.

The Brewers won Game 1 by a score of 3-2.  I’m an American League girl so I’m cheering for the Rays but I wasn’t upset to see the Brewers win.  The Brewers played a good game and so did the Rays.  Someone had to win and, in this case, it was the Brewers.  If the Brewers had beaten the Rangers, I would be mad.

Congratulations to the Brewers on winning their first World Series game!

Go Rays!

The Rays Are Going To The World Series!

Congratulation to the Tampa Bay Rays, who pulled out a win against the Guardians tonight and who will be going to their first World Series!  They’ll be facing the Brewers, another team who will be making their first World Series appearance!

For me, this is what baseball is all about.  The Rays were favored to win the American League Championship but the Guardians still proved themselves to be worthy opponents and they certainly didn’t make thing easy for Tampa Bay.  No one gave the Brewers much of a chance but they swept the Dodgers.  And now, one of these teams is going to win their first World Series!

The World Series starts on Friday and, if it goes for the full seven games, it will end on Halloween!

Go Rays!

I Am Stunned

I am stunned right now.

The Brewers are one game away from sweeping the National League Championship Series and keeping the Dodgers from returning to the World Series.  I honestly thought the Dodgers would dominate the NLCS as easily as they dominated every other series in the playoffs but they have really been struggling.  I never thought I would be hoping for a Brewers victory but I am.  They’ve never made a World Series appearance.  They’ve struggled to get the sports media to take them seriously as a contender.  I hope they do win tonight.  It would be a great baseball moment.

I’m still an American League girl and I’m still cheering for the Rays, though.  They will be facing Cleveland in Game 3 of the ALCS in about 15 minutes.  The series is currently tied up at 1-1.  As much as I love Major League, I’m still have to say “Go, Rays, Go!”

A Day Of Upsets

If you’re a baseball fan, today was an exciting day.  Two games were played and both of them ended with an upset victory.

In Game 2 of the NLCS, the Brewers won their second game in a row by a score of 7 to 4.  If the Brewers ended up winning the National League pennant over the Dodgers, it’ll be both a huge upset and it will also be the team’s first time to go to the World Series.

Meanwhile, in Game 1 of the ALCS, the Guardians defeated the favor Ray by a score of 7-3.  I was cheering for the Rays but I like the Guardians too so this series is almost a win-win for me.

Personally, I’m hoping for a Brewers vs Rays World Series because it would be a first World Series appearance for both teams.  I’d love to see some history made!

For now, congratulations to both the Brewers and the Guardians!

Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Rays!

Congratulations to the the Tampa Bay Rays on their victory in their Divisional series!  They swept the Yankees, winning in three games.

(I guess the Yankees forgot to renew their pact with the supernatural.)

The Dodgers also won their Divisional series so now it’s just a question of how who will be facing the Rays and the Dodgers for their respective League Championships.  The Rays will face either the Guardians or the White Sox.  The Dodgers will play either the Brewers or the Padres.

Go Rays!  I wish it my Rangers in the playoff but as long as an American League from the South wins the World Series, I’ll be happy!

Go Rays! An MLB Postseason Update!

With the Astros and the Red Sox having been eliminated during the Wild Card round, the MLB postseason is now down to eight teams.

For the National League, the Braves, Dodgers, Padres, and Brewers are still in contention for a trip to the World Series.

For the American League, it’s the Yankees, the Rays, White Sox, and Guardians.  Since the Rangers did not win the games that they needed to win and I really didn’t feel like swallowing my pride and supporting the Astros, I have been cheering for the Rays since the season began.

Yesterday, in the first game of their divisional series, the Rays defeated the Yankees, 1-0.  That score still looks strange to me but a win is a win.  As a Rangers fans, I’m used to winning by either a small amount or losing by a huge amount.  You can score only one run and not give up a grand slam in the 9th inning?  I had no idea.

A Rays vs. Dodgers world series feels inevitable right now.  Last year, I cheered for the Dodgers because I’ll support any team against the Blue Jays.  This year — Go Rays!
