Hottie of the Day: Seto Saki

The Hottie of the Day returns with a new addition to the growing harem. Today’s hottie is the lovely Ms. Seto Saki.

Born in 1982 on June 21, Ms. Seto is not your typical Japanese gravure idol in that she doesn’t see herself as one. She’s actually one of Japan’s up and coming young actresses. Despite earning her initial fame for winning the 2003 Miss Shuukan Shounen Magazine gravure idol contest, she truly earned her lasting fame as part of the cast of the popular Japanese tv comedy show Haruka 17. Ms. Seto’s popularity and fresh-faced beauty made her perfect for the ever-growing modeling scene in Japan. She’s modeled for product ads and fashion lines. In 2002 she tried her hand in the music business as part of the Japanese pop-trio band “Strawberry”.

She’s lasted in the modelling and entertainment industry more than most people in her business. She currently has several modeling photobooks already in-print. Her acting career has spanned beyond Haruka 17 and into others series such as Hana Yori Danga 2 (Boys Over Flowers 2), Memories of Matsuko and Shimokita GLORY DAYS. While she hasn’t transitioned yet into the film industry it probably won’t be too long before she does and her fame grows even more. Until then her fans will continue to follow her through her tv shows and many modeling photobooks.

Hottie of the Day: Ursula Mayes

Newest hottie of the day is the lovely Ursula Mayes and quite the smokin’ one she is.

Born in 1979 in South Korea to a Native-American/German father and a South Korean mother, Ursula moved around the world as an Army brat. She spent time growing up in South Korea, Puerto Rico and North Carolina before finally setting roots in Washington, D.C. Having grown up in a house with five other brothers Ms. Mayes’ young childhood leaned towards a certain tomboyishness. This could be seen even today as she likes to work and race her custom Nissan 240SX. This alone has made her a fan-favorite at import car tuning shows and events. This has also allowed her to become a famous import car model for the past five years or so. In addition to import car mags she has also modeled for fitness mags and done work in South Korean ad and media.

Ursula Mayes has gradually began branching out into TV and film. She might be remembered as one of the suitcase models for the NBC reality-gameshow, Deal or No Deal. While her roles in film and TV has been small and, at times, uncredited it won’t be long until something larger lands in her path. Until then her fans will continue to adore and worship her at shows and events.

The latest to take the mantle of site hottie of the day is the lovely Elle Navarro.

Ms. Elle Navarro is a Filipina-Caucasian model and dancer who makes Burban, California her home. Born of a Caucasian father and a Filipina mother, Ms. Navarro was born in the Philippines in 1986 before moving to Oxnard, CA as a young child. She has been quite active in the import car modelling scene and has gained a following of fans from her appearances at import car tuner shows. She has started to move towards acting. Ms. Navarro has become more known to the public due to her participation in the VH1 reality tv show, For the Love of Ray J.

She has mentioned in many magazine interviews how she was quite the tomboy growing up. If all tomboys grow up to be like her then most guys in their teen years would definitely stop going for the cheerleader types.

Hottie of the Day: Takizawa Nonami

Our latest hottie of the day is the lovely Takizawa Nonami.

Another in a long line of gorgeous gravure idols out of Japan, Ms. Takizawa was born in 1985 from Saitama Prefecture right outside of Tokyo. She is quite famous for her girl next door smile and for her voluptous figure. While she first came up doing gravure photobooks and modeling videos, Ms. Takizawa quickly branched out to other aspects of the Japanese entertainment industry. She has appeared in Japanese TV shows such as the TV drama adaptation of the anime and manga Akihabara@DEEP. Roles in Japanese films soon followed not to mention even appearing in the stage drama production Gekidan Taishu Shosetsuka in 2006.

In addition to appearing on TV, film and stage she has also started a burgeoning music career with two full-lenght albums to her credit with three best-selling singles in Japan. Her popularity has extended far from the shores of Japan and into the West with a legion of fans growing in the U.S. due to her gravure idol photobooks being made available on-line and some of her modeling videos seen on YouTube.

The latest hottie of the day hails from north of border in good ol’ Toronto, Canada. The one and only Anissa Holmes is our newest hottie.

Ms. Holmes grew up a tomboy but soon found her more girly personality from the help of two other sisters. She has only been modeling for a couple years but has already graced the covers of Playboy multiple times. While her nude work has made her quite famous she has also done lots of work for fitness, automotive and fashion publications. She’s also done modeling work for trade shows ranging from fashion to auto shows.

Her work doesn’t stop at modeling but has branched out into television, film and radio. She’s appeared in several cable TV shows up in Canada and even landed a role in an late-night HBO show called HBO’s Forbidden Science. It’s only a matter of time before she truly hits it big not just in her homeland of Canada but also in the US. She’s building up a growing legion of fans by way of her own website and activity with social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

The latest hottie of the day is the one and only Odette Yustman.

Ms. Yustman was born in the City of Angels in 1985 from a Cuban mother and a French-Italian father. This potent genetic mix has turned out one fine daughter who has been in the film business at a very young age. She was only 4-years old when she appeared as one of the young children in Arnold Schwarzenneger’s action-comedy, Kindergarten Cop. Her career will lend her appearance in tv shows and films such as South Beach and October Road, respectively. Her big break will be as the damsel-in-distress in the J.J. Abrams produced and Matt Reeves directed monster flick, Cloverfield.

She would add to her geek cred by lending her voice to the character of Amata Almodovar in Bethesda Software’s extremely popular and critically-acclaimed post-apocalyptic rpg, Fallout 3. Her last two major projects has been two horror films (The Unborn and And Soon the Darkness) which could add to her geek cred as an up-and-coming scream queen like previous hottie of the day Amber Heard.

A special treat for fans of hotties everywhere. The latest to wear the mantle of hottie of the day is the very kawaii Nishida Mai.

Ms. Nishida Mai is one of the newest gravure idols to create a sensation in Japan. She was born in 1989 in the city of Kyoto and now appears in gravure photbooks and videos all over Japan. Her petite but very curvaceous figure has made her legions of fans both in her homeland and overseas. Ms. Nishida has begun appearing on Japanese tv as her career continues to gain traction. Nishida Main truly captures the meaning of being a hottie and well-deserving to be chosen as one.

Texas born and raised Amber Heard is the latest hottie of the day.

The young model and actress had her first major role in the 2004 sports drama, Friday Night Lights. Other small roles in TV shows like Jack & Bobby, The Mountain and The O.C. soon followed. Ms. Heard’s career would continue on a gradual trajectory as she takes on roles in other TV shows such as Hidden Palms and Californication. But her career seem to be set for her as a film star as roles in major films such as The Pineapple Express, Never Back Down and, the soon to be released Johnny Depp drama, The Rum Diary.

Fans of Amber Heard last saw her in a small role in Zombieland as the college girl whom Jesse Eisenberg’s character falls for only to see her turn into a zombie. This turn as a potential horror babe must’ve been impressive enough that horror maestro John Carpenter himself has cast her in the lead role of his next feature-lenght film, The Ward.

Ms. Sasaki is one of the most popular Japanese models who was born in the Akita Prefecture in Japan and now lives in Tokyo. While fans of her work in the West know her mostly from her work as a gravure model she is quite the multi-talented lass who is also one of Japan’s top Idols and also an up-and-coming actress both live-action and voice-acting. Her looks has been compared to those of porcelain dolls and her modeling photobooks attest to that fact.

Ms. Sasaski is another reason why it must be good to live in Japan.
