Tonight’s dance scene that I love comes from the 2001 film, Mulholland Drive.  In fact, it’s the very first scene from that surreal masterpiece.

Trust David Lynch to make the jitterbug seem menacing.

  1. Wow! My all-time favorite dance style! While I love the fact that it’s been revived, nothing compares to the rare film-clips of the original jitter-bug dancers. It’s like progressive jazz and graffiti wall-art on a dance floor.

    And a side-note: While checking out some details about Mulholland Drive over at IMDB, I noticed that Lynch’s new Twin Peaks 18-episode series is back on track, with him directing. Due for release in 2017.
