Trailer: Godzilla (Extended)

Godzilla2014

We are just a little over a month away from the release of the Gareth Edwards reboot of the classic kaiju film Godzilla.

As studios are now seeming to get into the habit to help build up the hype for their big tentpole summer releases we have a new extended trailer from Warner Bros. to remind everyone that the Big Guy is seriously in need of a Snickers bar.

While it’s still speculation and this extended trailer doesn’t really show any clues or evidence I still believe that this latest iteration of Godzilla will have him fighting another monster and/or monsters.

Godzilla is set for a May 16, 2014 release date.

Red Band Trailer: Sex Tape

Hey there, loyal Shattered Lens readers.

So, as you may have noticed, I am running really far behind as far as getting all of my film reviews done.  Along with reviewing the two films that tied for first place in my latest What Should Lisa Watch Poll, I also need to review the last few films that I saw in theaters and on Lifetime.

I apologize for all of the delays but fear not — I will get caught up!

Until then, here’s a red band trailer to consider.  Just judging from this trailer, Sex Tape appears to be a one joke film.  However, I like Jason Segal and I enjoyed Bad Teacher so I will keep an open mind as far as Sex Tape is concerned.

Trailer: Hercules

I put off watching this trailer for a while because, seriously, how can you improve on the year’s previous Hercules film?  (Note the sarcasm.)  However, this trailer for the second Hercules of 2014 actually looks pretty good.  If nothing else, these seems to be the role that Dwayne Johnson was born to play.

Lisa Gets Obsessed With Vegas

We all knew that the Step Up movies were eventually going to end up taking place in Las Vegas, didn’t we?

As much as I like the glitzy and decadent feel of that trailer, I still prefer the Cosmopolitan Vegas commercials.

Like this one!  Look at the kittens!

Or this one!  Because wild is laid!

Or this one!  What do you think is going to get buried?

Damn, I want to go to Vegas now…

Trailer: The Giver

The Giver is a film that has been frequently mentioned as being a possible Oscar contender, largely because it’s being released by the Weinstein Company and the cast includes not only Meryl Streep or Jeff Bridges as well.  I have to admit that I have my doubts.  The trailer looks good but if neither The Hunger Games nor Looper could get any love from the Academy, what hope does The Giver have?

The Giver will be released on August 15th.
