The Rangers Are 2-0!

Yesterday, the Texas Rangers won their second game of the 2023 season, beating the Phillies by 13 runs!  Congratulations to the Rangers, for getting this season off to a good start.  I know the Rangers aren’t going to win every game this season and I know that there’s a long way to go before the post-season.  But it just feels like this is the season that my team is finally going to get it together.

So, I’m happy.

Congratulations to the Texas Rangers!

I couldn’t let this day end without saying congratulations to my Texas Rangers, who won their first game of the 2023 season today!  After the first three innings, I was feeling pretty down because the Phillies were leading, 5-0.  But then, in the fourth inning, the rangers went from being down by 5 to being up by 4!  We went on to win, 11-7.

That’s why I love baseball.  It’s never over until you get that final out and a good team can always make a comeback.  It’s been a while since I’ve seen that Rangers dominate on offense like that.  I used to feel like the Rangers would give up if they found themselves down by a certain number of runs but I didn’t feel that way watching this game.  Today, the Rangers were determinedto win.  I hope it’s a sign of things to come.

It took them a while but the MLB finally uploaded the game’s highlights.

Spring Training Has Begun!

Football is over and Spring Training has begun!

I know that the Shattered Lens isn’t a sports site but I love the Rangers and I can’t wait to see how they do this season.  I can’t wait for more memories like this one:

The season officially starts on April 2nd! Good luck to my Rangers and to every other team (even the Blue Jays)!

Congrats to The Rangers

I don’t know a damn thing about baseball but I do know that the Rangers are going to the World Series and the Rangers are apparently from my hometown.  Oh, and the Ranger Josh Hamilton is apparently not the same guy as the actor Josh Hamilton.

Anyway, for now, I will also extend hearty congratulations to Arleigh because his team is apparently going to the World Series as well.  I learned today that apparently, San Francisco’s team is called the Giants and not the Phillies.  Apparently, the Phillies are actually Philadelphia’s team.  Actually, that makes a bit more sense.  I also found out that the Giants have a player with the exact same name as the former lead singer of the Beach Boys.

Anyway, congratulations to the Rangers (who I guess are now my team) and the Giants.  The song below is dedicated to both teams and to baseball fans everywhere…
