I’ve said before that Tom Cruise may be the last great “movie star!” I must admit the teaser trailer for DIGGER has me very intrigued. The movie is coming in October 2026. Check it out!

Check out this Trailer for JIMMY (2026), the Untold Story of James Stewart!
Jimmy Stewart is one of the great actors of all-time, and he’s personally one of my very favorites. I did not realize a movie had been made about him until I stumbled across this trailer today. Check it out!
Rest in Peace, Gil Gerard (1943-2025)!
As a human being born in the early 1970’s, I was a big fan of Buck Rogers when I was a kid. Whenever Gil Gerard would show up on my TV screen, Dad would usually remind us that he knew him from his days at the University of Central Arkansas. My dad was already my hero, but he also knew BUCK ROGERS?! Badass!!
Gerard was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1943, graduated high school from Little Rock Catholic, and eventually attended UCA at the same time as my dad. Growing up, I would always tell everyone I knew that dad and Buck Rogers went to school together. Today, as a point of pride and reverence to a childhood hero, I’m telling that to all of you.
Rest in peace, Mr. Gerard.
Spielberg delves into Sci-Fi again with the Disclosure Day Teaser
Spielberg. Williams. Koepp. Kaminski. What the heck is Disclosure Day?
The teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day hit my phone via Letterbox’d. This is connected to those weird X-Files looking posters I’ve been seeing as of late. It looks like another film with aliens, similar to Close Encounters of the Third Kind with a dash of Zemekis’ Contact or sprinkle of Villeneuve’s Arrival. The film stars Josh O’Connor (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery), Emily Blunt (Jungle Cruise), Colin Firth (Kingsman), Coleman Domingo (The Running Man), Wyatt Russell (Marvel’s Thunderbolts), and Eve Newson (Robin Hood).
Spielberg and Koepp have a good track record together with the Jurassic Park films, and it’a always good to see a pairing with John Williams. Still, this all looks really weird. Either way, we’ll find out when the film is released next June.
Enjoy!
Who’s going to see KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR (2025) this weekend?
To answer my own question, “I am!” I was checking my local movie theater listings for this weekend and came across the showtimes for the release of KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR, and I must admit I’m pretty excited about it. My wife is working this weekend so I have all Sunday to myself, and watching this Quentin Tarantino classic in a whole new way sounds like a lot of fun.
Check out the trailer below, and if you’re in the Little Rock area, I just may see you there!
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery Trailer

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is the third movie in Rian Johnson’s fun and twisty murder mystery series. Daniel Craig is back as the sharp detective Benoit Blanc, who’s got his work cut out for him with a seemingly impossible case this time. The movie is set in a small-town church with some pretty creepy secrets, and Blanc teams up with a young priest to crack the case. The cast is packed with great talent like Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, and Kerry Washington, so there’s a lot of star power mixed with sharp writing and those clever twists Johnson’s known for.
The movie mixes mystery, drama, and a bit of dark humor while diving into themes like faith, secrets, and lies. Benoit Blanc has to navigate a tangled web of hidden motives and dark pasts—all wrapped in the spooky atmosphere of the church and its community.
It’s dropping in theaters on November 26, 2025, and then hitting Netflix worldwide on December 12, so it’s definitely one to keep an eye out for whether you’re already a fan or just love a good whodunnit.
RIP to the incredible Japanese actor Tatsuya Nakadai (1932 – 2025)
I’m a huge fan of samurai movies. As such, I love the Japanese actors Toshiro Mifune and Tatsuya Nakadai. I came for the samurai movies and soon learned that both actors are incredible in a wide variety of films. They are truly two of the best of all time, and I seldom think of one without thinking of the other. It made me quite sad when I read that Nakadai passed away a few days ago on November 8th at 92 years of age. Back in 1962, Nakadai starred in possibly the greatest samurai film of all time, Masaki Kobayashi’s HARAKIRI. It’s truly a masterpiece, with a powerful story and incredible action. In honor of Tatsuya Nakadai, I’m sharing the trailer for HARAKIRI below, and I recommend it to everyone!
The Horsemen Are Back In The Final Trailer For Now You See Me: Now You Don’t
It’s probably not a good sign that the “final” trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t dropped today without me previously hearing that a third movie was coming out. I enjoyed the first two Now You See Me movies and I am looking forward to seeing the third one but I wonder how many people really remember either one of them. Ten years is a very long time, especially now.
Kate Beckinsale Is Very Skilled In The Wildcat Trailer
I was looking for something to post and I saw a still shot of Kate Beckinsale holding a gun and looking like she was about to take down the Russian mafia with a combination of bullets and a sexy accent. That was good enough for me.
Wildcat features Kate Beckinsale as a former spy who returns to her old ways to take down the bad guys. According to the trailer, it comes out in “select theaters” on November 25th. It’ll also be available on digital platforms on the same day, which is always a good sign.
