Finally! Something to look forward to! Here’s the trailer for Tales of Halloween!

PCAS

October’s such a great month!  Not only does Halloween provide the perfect excuse to get dressed up all sexy-like but the theaters are also full of horror movies!

Speaking of which, check out this trailer for the upcoming horror anthology Tales of Halloween!  It’ll be coming out on October 16th and, among the ten directors contributing: Mike Mendez, who directed the great Big Ass Spider, The Descent‘s Neil Marshall, and The Woods‘s Lucky McKee!

I can hardly wait!

Here’s the latest trailer for Southpaw!

Will Southpaw get Jake Gyllenhaal the Oscar nomination that he deserved for Nightcrawler?

Hmmm…it’s hard to say.  The Academy definitely owes Gyllenhaal for snubbing him earlier this year.  But Southpaw doesn’t necessarily look like an Oscar nominee.  Instead, it looks like … well, it looks like every other melodramatic boxing film that’s ever been made.

But, still — I’ll see it when it’s released on July 24th.  At this point, I’ll watch Jake Gyllenhaal in just about anything…

(Except for Love and Other Drugs.  Don’t even get me started on that…)

Anyway, here’s the latest trailer for Southpaw!

Extender Trailer: Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

Now, I asked that question on July 1st and you know what?  Obama has yet to give me an answer, which I guess means that I now know how I’ll be voting in 2016.  Maybe our President will reconsider his position after watching the latest trailer for Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

Trailer: London Has Fallen

London Has Fallen, the sequel to Olympus Has Fallenwill not be opening until 2016.  But, until then, we can enjoy this trailer!  It’s fun and exciting in the way that action film trailers often are, promising us a world of thrills that the actual film will probably not deliver.

But until the disillusionment sets in, enjoy this trailer for London Has Fallen!

Trailer: Steve Jobs

To be honest, I’m really only interesting in seeing Steve Jobs because it stars Michael Fassbender and it was directed by Danny Boyle.  I do, however, think it will be interesting to see Seth Rogen in a dramatic role and I’m also curious to see if Kate Winslet can overcome the fact that screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is incapable of writing strong female characters.

(And for those of you about to go, “What about C.J. on The West Wing!?,” don’t.  Just don’t.  First off, everyone always cites C.J. as a strong female character in a Sorkin-penned melodrama and it’s gotten just a little bit boring.  Secondly, I never watched The West Wing because I had and continue to have a life.)

Here’s the latest trailer for the very Oscar baitish Steve Jobs.
