You really haven’t lived until you’ve seen David Hasselhoff play possessed.

Enjoy!

Horror on TV: Baywatch Nights 2.18 “Symbol of Death” (dir by Richard Friedman)

The 17th episode of Baywatch Nights was called The Servant and it featured Mitch and Ryan fighting a mummy!  Unfortunately, it’s also one of the few episodes to not be available on YouTube, or at least not in watchable form.  (There’s a sped-up version where the image is so oddly cropped that it’s basically unwatchable but that’s about it.)

So, we’ll have to skip The Servant and instead move onto Symbol of Death which features an apparent alien abduction.  If nothing else, this episode shows what a debt Baywatch Nights owed to The X-Files.

This episode originally aired on April 19th, 1997!

Enjoy!

Horror On TV: Baywatch Nights 2.16 “Zargtha” (dir by Rick Jacobson)

Tonight on Baywatch Nights

A mythical wolf man from Eastern Europe is murdering runaways in Los Angeles.  Can David Hasselhoff and Angie Harmon save the day?

Watch to find out!

And remember … “Don’t go out at night, or the zargtha will get you!”

(Zargtha originally aired on April 5th, 1997)

Horror on TV: Baywatch Nights 2.15 “Mobius” (dir by David Livingston)

On tonight’s episode of Baywatch Nights, David Hasselhoff and Angie Harmon get zapped into a parallel universe, one where lifeguards regularly battle the denzieins of Hell.  Oh wait a minutes …. that’s this universe!

This episode originally aired on March 2nd, 1997!

Horror on TV: Baywatch Nights 2.14 “Ascension” (dir by Jon Cassar)

Tonight’s episode of Baywatch Nights is an odd one.  Mitch gets kidnapped.  Ryan dreams about it happening.  There’s a lot of weird torture devices.  Somehow, the Knights Templar are involved.  It always comes down to the Knights Templar, doesn’t it?

Seriously, how does one go back to being a lifeguard after all of this?

This episode originally aired on February 23rd, 1997.

Enjoy!

Horror on TV: Baywatch Nights 2.13 “Nights to Dragon One” (dir by Richard Friedman)

Tonight’s episode of Baywatch Nights originally aired on February 16th, 1997.

In this episode of Baywatch Nights, David Hasselhoff and Angie Harmon are hired to track down a missing man and his daughter.  Their search leads to them becoming literally trapped inside a virtual reality where they either have to defeat the crazed Game Master (Vincent Schiavelli) or die!  There’s even a scene where Angie Harmon has to pick up and roll a giant die!  Taking full advantage of the inherent ludicrousness of David Hasselhoff’s screen persona, this is an episode that has to be seen to be believed.

So, watch below and believe.

Horror on TV: Baywatch Nights 2.12 “Frozen Out Of Time”

On tonight’s episode of horror on TV, we have an episode of Baywatch Nights that originally aired on February 9th, 1997.  In this one, two 900 year-old Vikings are causing chaos in Los Angeles!  Who can stop them?

David Hasselhoff, of course!

Horror on TV: Baywatch Nights 2.11 “Possession” (dir by David W. Hagar)

Tonight’s episode of Baywatch Nights deals with something that every lifeguard eventually has to deal with: demonic possession.

Well, actually, it’s not so much demonic possession as its dead serial killer possession but it’s still definitely not a good thing.  That’s especially true when it’s a friend and/or co-worker getting possessed.  I mean, it’s never fun to end a relationship but having to end it because someone managed to get possessed …. I just don’t see how you live that down.

This episode originally aired on February 2nd, 1997.

Enjoy!

Horror On TV: Baywatch Nights 2.10 “Space Spore” (dir by Richard Freidman)

The 2nd season of Baywatch Nights was pretty clearly designed to duplicate the success of The X-Files and that’s certainly true of tonight’s episode, which finds David Hasselhoff, Eddie Cibrian, and Angie Harmon dealing with “space dust.”  It turns out that, in its way, space dust is almost as dangerous as regular dust!

Enjoy!

Horror on TV: Baywatch Nights 2.9 “Night Whispers” (dir by Reza Badiyi)

On tonight’s episode of Baywatch Nights, David Hasselhoff versus a vampire!

Yes, it’s just as silly as it sounds.  I mean, Hasselhoff vs. vampire pretty much tells you everything that you know.  The thing that amazes me about this show is that, even after confronting a different monster every week, Mitch still always seems to be somewhat skeptical.

“Okay, I’ll admit that sea serpents and aliens exist but vampires …. c’mon, there’s no way.”

Enjoy!
