It wasn’t pretty. Defense dominated the game, but a late scoring drive by Tom Brady led to a Sony Michel touchdown, and the New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3. It was the Pats’ sixth Super Bowl victory, tying them with the Pittsburgh Steelers for most championships in the Super Bowl era. Say what you want about it, but this native New Englander remembers when they flat-out sucked, making all this winning soooo much sweeter!

Well, I sure didn’t think I’d be writing this post a few short hours ago. My home team New England Patriots put up a valiant effort, but as they say, you can’t win ’em all. I’m sure Brady and the bunch will be back next year for another quest at Ring #6, but for now it’s congrats, Philly. What more can I say, except… how many more days til spring training? LET’S GO RED SOX!!
As you may or may not know, I’m a native New Englander, born and raised in Massachusetts. I watched the Patriots back when, quite frankly, they sucked. It was only when Bill Bellichick became coach and Tom Brady took over at quarterback they turned into an NFL powerhouse. Since then, I’ve watched many a classic football game and enjoyed their victories in Super Bowls past.
But nothing compares to last night. Last night was absolutely incredible. In all my years of watching football, it was… dare I say it?… the Greatest Game Ever!!
I knew the Falcons were no joke, but the way they dominated in the first half was shocking. The party I was at had grown eerily silent, and many people chose to leave after watching Lady Gaga perform. My fellow diehards and I stayed, hoping for a miracle.
Around here, we celebrate the championships of the teams that us editors are super stoked about. Anyone that has been following this blog for more than 1 year knows that I’ve been a New England Patriots fan since 1985. So, now that the New England Patriots have won the first Super Bowl to ever go into overtime, and also have won the Super Bowl from the biggest deficit, 25 points, I, pantsukudasai56, aka Zachary Boucher, can yell and scream and enjoy all this, and there’s one thing I have to post. I don’t know whether or not this has ever been our song of the day, but if I had to say a song that should be played all I can think is that we should all be listening to Pantera’s Walk.
To all the haters out there, RE-SPECT, WALK. Walk on home boy. You don’t have to like them, but you have to respect them. The Drive for 5 is over, the New England Patriots are the greatest football team ever, and Tom Brady is better than Joe Montana. Sorry Arleigh, it’s true.
Since we are only a few hours away from the big game, I better get my Super Bowl predictions in.

After winning his fifth Super Bowl, Tom Brady will announce his retirement, run against Elizabeth Warren in 2018, and will be elected President in 2028.
I’ve used this song twice to celebrate my San Francisco Giants winning the World Series in 2010 and 2012 (so shocked they won 2014 that I forgot to post it) that I thought it only fair to use it for the New England Patriots. They are the new champions of the NFL after their thrilling win over the Seattle Seahawks.
It was a game that had our own pantsukudasai56 on the verge of losing it (and he probably did but in a good way and not the bad one I was predicting). The New England Patriots have become like a sort of second NFL team for me because of two people: Tom Brady (local boy made good) and Bill Belichik (the Dark Lord himself). Yes, two people who have their equal share of admirers and haters (probably more of the latter).
These two have now cemented their 4th NFL championship through the modern salary-cap era, adversity (concocted and self-inflicted) and heartbreaking losses. Yet, as much as people would hate on Belichik deep down most would dump their coach if it meant they would have him instead. The same goes for his apprentice in Tom Brady.
So, controversies aside, congratulations to the New England Patriots for winning Super Bowl XLIX.

Arleigh has in the past taken time to congratulate the San Francisco Giants upon winning the World Series, so as a long time New England Patriots fan, I can only say congratulations to the Patriots for winning the Super Bowl, and here’s to hoping that he’ll win a record fifth championship next year! Yes, this is a short post, but that’s all that’s needed right now.
It’s a slow Friday night and once again boredom has hit him until I came upon a great idea. What better way to relieve myself of this boredom than to watch one of the funniest moments in NFL history. It also happens to be one of the most embarrassing moments for the NY Jets, their fans and their hapless and useless of a starting quarterback Mark Sanchez.
The scene is straight out of the late season game between heated AFC East rivals New England Patriots and the NY Jets. What makes this a favorite scene of mine even though I’m a diehard San Francisco 49ers fan is the fact that it’s a sequence that never gets old and continues to entertain.
