We rotate movie picks each week, and our tastes are quite different. Tonight, Monday, August 18th, we’ll be watching JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE (2006), starring Jesse Metcalfe, Ashanti, Arielle Kebbel, Sophia Bush, Brittany Snow, Penn Badgley, Jenny McCarthy, Terrell J. Ramsey, and Taylor Kitsch.

The plot: Three ex-girlfriends of a serial cheater set up their former lover to fall for the new girl in town so they can watch him get his heart broken.

I’ll admit I’ve been watching some Jesse Metcalfe films lately. Just yesterday I watched the Hallmark Christmas movie CHRISTMAS NEXT DOOR (2017) and the culture clash romantic comedy THE OTHER END OF THE LINE (2007). I enjoyed them both. Sierra wants to go back and watch the DALLAS T.V. series reboot where Jesse played a grown-up Christopher Ewing! Keeping with that theme, tonight we’ll be watching a very young Jesse as he deals with a plot of revenge from a group of beautiful but scorned young ladies. I’ve never actually watched the film, but it sounds like an enjoyable way to spend 90 minutes. If that sounds fun to you, join us on #MondayMuggers and watch JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE. Tonight, Monday, August 11th, we’ll be watching RUNNING SCARED (1986), starring Gregory Hines, Billy Crystal, Steven Bauer, Darlanne Fluegel, Joe Pantoliano, Dan Hedaya, Jon Gries, Tracy Reed, and Jimmy Smits.

The plot: Two street-wise Chicago cops have to shake off some rust after returning from a Key West vacation to pursue a drug dealer who nearly killed them in the past.

We rotate movie picks each week, and our tastes are quite different. Tonight, Monday, July 28th, we’ll be watching TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL (2020), starring Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, Katrina Bowden, Jesse Moss, Philip Granger, Brandon Jay McLaren, Chelan Simmons, Travis Nelson, Adam Beauchesne, and Eli Craig.

The plot: Two lovable hillbillies are headed to their “fixer-upper” vacation cabin to drink some beer, do some fishin’, and have a good time. But when they run into a group of preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, chainsaw-wielding killers, Tucker & Dale’s vacation takes a bloody and hilarious turn for the worse.

Sierra and I have been on vacation over the last week, and we truly appreciate Lisa hosting for us while we were gone! Today, we’re both trying to get going again at work and in regular life, so I thought this horror-comedy, that I haven’t watched in many years, might be some easygoing fun! Hi, everyone!  Brad and his wife Sierra are on vacation so guess is who is guest hosting the #MondayMuggers live tweet tonight?  That’s right …. me!

Tonight’s movie will be MANHUNTER (1986), the classic Michael Mann-directed thriller that introduced the world to the characters of Will Graham, Jack Crawford, Francis Dollarhyde, and Hannibal Lecter!  (Though it’s spelled Lektor in this film.)  Check out the trailer!

We rotate movie picks each week, and our tastes are quite different. We’re actually hitting a 3-year milestone with #MondayMuggers, which had its premiere on July 11th, 2022. Tonight, Monday, July 14th, we’re excited to present WILLY’S WONDERLAND (2021), starring Nicolas Cage, Emily Tosta, Beth Grant, and Ric Reitz.

The plot: A quiet drifter is tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Willy’s Wonderland. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash — and only one side will make it out alive.

#MondayMuggers present DARK ANGEL: THE ASCENT (1994), starring Angela Featherstone!

Tonight, Monday June 30th, we are showing DARK ANGEL: THE ASCENT (1994), starring the lovely Angela Featherstone, Daniel Markel, Nicolas Worth, Charlotte Stewart, Milton James, and Mike Genovese.

The plot: A demoness from Hell, Veronica Iscariot (Angela Featherstone), uninterested in tormenting the souls of damned sinners, ascends to the world above and finds our world full of evil and corruption. Veronica decides her mission in life is to punish the wicked and evil and goes about this with a bloody vengeance. Along the way she meets and falls in love with a doctor, Max Barris (Daniel Markel), who tends to her wounds after an accident.

#MondayMuggers present AVENGEMENT (2019) starring Scott Adkins!

Tonight, Monday June 23rd, we are showing AVENGEMENT (2019) starring Scott Adkins, Craig Fairbrass, Thomas Turgoose, and Nick Moran.

Convicted felon Cain Burgess (Scott Adkins) escapes prison and heads out to take revenge on those he holds responsible. The consensus on Rotten Tomatoes is as follows:

“AVENGEMENT compensates for a lack of narrative originality with thrilling sequences of violent, bone-crunching action, elevated by Scott Adkins’ brutally intense performance.”

Tonight, Monday May 19th, we are showing YOUNG GUNS (1988) starring Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Charlie Sheen, Dermot Mulroney, Casey Siemaszko, Terence Stamp, Jack Palance, Terry O’Quinn, Brian Keith, and Patrick Wayne.

This movie focuses on a group of young gunmen, led by Billy the Kid (Emilio Estevez), who become deputies to avenge the murder of John Tunstall (Terence Stamp), the rancher who took them in, gave them jobs, and taught them how to read. But when Billy takes their authority too far, they soon find themselves to be the outlaws and the ones being hunted down.
