Our hottie for the day is the impossibly cute Sasaki Nozomi.
Ms. Sasaki is one of the most popular Japanese models who was born in the Akita Prefecture in Japan and now lives in Tokyo. While fans of her work in the West know her mostly from her work as a gravure model she is quite the multi-talented lass who is also one of Japan’s top Idols and also an up-and-coming actress both live-action and voice-acting. Her looks has been compared to those of porcelain dolls and her modeling photobooks attest to that fact.
Ms. Sasaski is another reason why it must be good to live in Japan.
Latest hottie of the day is one Krystle Lina. California-born and raised Ms. Lina has been in the modeling industry since 2006. She has worked for Playboy and Destroyed Brand Denim plus many other men’s magazines and publications. Her Spanish and Irish ancestry has provided Ms. Lina (born Krystle Suarez) with her exotic good looks which has helped make her fast rising and popular internet and print model.
In addition, she has become quite popular with the internet crowd due to her internet radio show, “The Krystle Lina Experience”. Her show comes on every Wednesday night on Nowlive.com. She talks about everything from news stories to events and dealings within the entertainment industry. Krystle’s show has allowed her to expand her audience beyond area of the Los Angeles basin to worldwide. She also has taken advantage of the internet nature of her show to give back to her fans by taking phone calls from the show’s audience and interacting with them through the show’s chatroom. Ms. Krystle Lina definitely is a hottie going places.
Our latest hottie of the day is truly the only reason why one should even be watching House on the Fox network. Olivia Wilde’s character “Thirteen” is just stunning in every episode she is in. Her character being a promiscuous bisexal is just icing on the cake. But the medical procedural drama on Fox wasn’t the first time she’s been seen on TV. She was also the only good thing about the little-seen drama on NBC called The Black Donnellys.
Ms. Wilde is of Irish-American heritage and those eyes and skin tone belie her Emerald Isle genes. In addition to becoming a regular on House, she has also appeared in films such as The Girl Next Door, Alpha Dog, Turistas and the Jack Black/Michael Cera 2009 comedy, Year One. While her role as “Thirteen” on House has been her stand-out and breakthrough acting role the fact that she was strongly considered for the part of Vesper Lynd in the 2005 James Bond reboot, Casino Royale shows that she’s just not beautiful but has the acting chops to go far.
Taking the mantle of hottie of the day from fellow Japanese Idol model Haruna Yabuki is Anri Sugihara of Hiroshima Prefecture. Ms. Sugihara is one of Japan’s most popular J-Idol and gravure models. She has graced the covers of many Japanese gravure photoshoot books. While her video work still has been only through footage of her photoshoots she has still gained fans both in and out of Japan. Ms. Sugihara combines both girl-next-door beauty with flawless skin and the long legs and curvaceous figure thats made her legions of followers throughout the internet. Here’s to hoping we continue to see more of Hiroshima Prefecture’s favorite daughter, Ms. Anri Sugihara.
Today marks the first entry of a Japanese Idol model to the Hottie of the Day. Let me introduce the very fine Harune Yabuki.
Ms. Haruna was discovered in Shibuya at the age of 15. The 22-year-old made a splash in 2004 as a swimsuit model for Parco, a department store chain out of the fashion district of Shibuya. The ads featured the slender bodied Haruna in giant posters that many Tokyo shoppers couldn’t easily forget. Combining a hard body with one of the most classically beautiful faces seen on a gravure model, Haruna become a star virtually overnight. In her last 3 years she has continued to make DVDs and photobooks and launched a music career with her first single in 2006 Let Me Love You.
One Ms. Diora Baird takes on the mantle of Hottie for the Day from one Irina Voronina. Ms. Baird was first discovered as a model while doing side jobs while trying to break into acting. It was during one of these side jobs that she someone saw her and thus her modeling career began. She became the a Guess? model pretty quickly. Landing spreads and covers at magazines such as FHM, Maxim and the like helped move her modeling career forward but it wasn’t until landing the cover of Playboy Magazine‘s August 2005 issue that she really got noticed. It wasn’t too long until she became an Elite Modeling Agency model.
Ms. Baird could easily have kept to modeling but she continued with her dream to break into the entertainment industry as an actress. In between modeling gigs she landed roles in small films. Usually they were comedies and horror films like Wedding Crashers and Brain Blockers. Her big break came when she was cast as one of the main characters in the prequel to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. In 2010 she’s to be seen as Lily Thompson in the remake of the horror cult-classic, Night of the Demons.
Our hottie for the day comes from behind the former Iron Curtain. She also hails from the same country as pagan metal band Arkona and folk metal band Kalevala. She has been a model since the age of 14 and has appeared in Playboy numerous times. In 2001, she became Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for the month of January. Ms. Voronina has posed for many top photographers. One of the photographers she has posed for is a favorite of mine and that is Guido Argentini. She’s appeared for the ad campaigns of well-known beverage brands such as SKYY Vodka, Michelob Ultra and Bacardi. In 2008 she became the latest of Playboy Playmates to take up the mantle of St. Pauli Girl for the ad campaign of the famous German beer brand. In addition to modeling, Ms. Voronina has begun to move into acting. She’s appeared in such films as Balls of Fury, Reno 911!: Miami and Epic Movie.
The hottie of the day honors goes to one Felicia Day. She has become the internet geek goddess through her work on Joss Whedon’s internet sensation, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, and on her very own popular web series, The Guild. She epitomizes the girl-next-door type that any boy would take home to mother, but I do believe that those fiery-red locks hide a sinfully “good” girl. It’s very difficult to get around the web nowadays and not see her. Other than being a criminally-hot redhead, Ms. Day also happens to be an avid gamer and has professed to having been addicted to the mmorpg, World of Warcraft. It is this admission, and the fact she also plays a wide-range of games, which has endeared her to geeks and non-geeks alike. She may well be the perfect geek goddess.
To inaugurate the start of the corporations Hottie of the Day program I am proud to present to you the first in what will be aline of the hottest hot hotties to be found in this and any planet.
CHRISTINA HENDRICKS
She can be seen in the hit cable drama, Mad Men, shown on the AMC network. Her work in the role of Joan Holloway for the show has garnered her accolades and has created quite the fan following. She is a rare gem in Hollywood in that she is both tall, beautiful and naturally curvy. While her gorgeous red locks have been mentioned as being quite an asset of hers she is actually a natural blonde but has been dyeing her hair a golden-red since she was a child. Golden-red or blonde, it really doesn’t matter as it doesn’t diminish the fiery hotness that is Christina Hendricks. If there ever was still a search for a live-action Jessica Rabbit then that search needs to end for she is it. For that men, and some women, are thanking whatever creator they pray to for making her the way she is.
As the music above plays I must speak of why such a tribute song is necessary…read on.
It finally happened. While I wasn’t surprised that it did happen what did surprise me was how long Butters held out. I got Butters on midnight of November 22, 2005. Never has Butters failed me in the 4 years, 1 month and 27 days it was in my care. But this afternoon he finally succumbed to old age.
While it has happened to friends of mine who had something similar and I know the symptoms which tells me Butters was gone for good it still wasn’t a good feeling. All I can do now is just make sure that all the fun memories Buuters and I have are not lost. I sure will try my damndest to keep them.
Even though the grieving process has just begun and some of it includes a bit of denial, I now have to look forward to finding a replacement for Butters. I’m thinking an upgrade is way overdue. I’m not sure if I should also name it Butters or will the memory be too fresh still and a new name needed. Whether it’s Butters, Butterstotch or Bubbba and many others, I will make sure that I’m not without for too long.
There will be new memories to add to the ones I had with Butters. Memories which, if I am prescient, will hopefully be made starting January 26, 2010. Memories that I will make sure will continue a particular one from Butters. I will be very vexed if that doesn’t happen. For that particular past memory was well-earned with many hours spent in the making.
So, once again I must play “Taps” and pay homage to Butters which lived a long, fruitful life but I still thought was taken too soon and without much warning.
To Butters! May the Valkryies welcome you to the halls of Valhalla where the brave live forever!
