Here’s The Trailer For Saltburn!

Here’s the trailer for Saltburn, Emerald Fennell’s first film since her Oscar-nominated Promising Young Woman.  In this film, Barry Keoghan (who was so good in The Banshees of Inisherin) plays an awkward student at Oxford who becomes obsessed with his aristocratic classmate (Jacob Elordi).  Keoghan, Elordi, Fennell, and the film itself are all expected to be potential Oscar contenders.

The trailer certainly has a creepy vibe to it.

Here’s the teaser for Michael Mann’s Ferrari!

Everyone’s popping up with movies! First Scorsese, then Fincher, and now Mann. It looks like Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) is back with Ferrari! Adam Driver stars as Enzo Ferrari, who would turn his love of cars into something legendary. While I’m hoping to see a ’61 GT California somewhere in the mix, this looks interesting. Ferrari also stars Penelope Cruz, Hugh Jackman, Shailene Woodley, Patrick Dempsey and Sarah Gadon. The film is written by Troy Kennedy Martin (Kelly’s Heroes) with the screenplay also by Mann.

Ferrari is due in theatres this Christmas.

Here’s The Teaser For David Fincher’s The Killer

With all the excitement surrounding the latest films from Christopher Nolan and Martin Scorsese, it’s easy to forget that David Fincher has a new film coming out as well!  Here is the first official teaser for The Killer, which is due to open on November 10th!

(Hey, that’s the day after my birthday!)

Here’s The Trailer For FOE!

Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan will be co-starring Amazon’s FOE, which will be released to theaters in October 6th.  The advertising is already making references to “visionary director” Garth Davis.  Did people learn their lesson about tossing around words like “visionary” with Malcolm & Marie?

Anyway, here’s the trailer!

Here’s The Trailer for Bradley Cooper’s Maestro!

Yesterday, the trailer for Bradley Cooper’s upcoming Maestro dropped.

In this Netflix film, Cooper plays Leonard Bernstein and Carey Mulligan plays his wife.  Ever since this project was first announced, it’s been promoted as a potential Oscar nominee and the trailer certainly has that awards bait feel.  The trailer also indicates that, as far as biopics are concerned, this is going to be something of a niche picture.  There’s nothing wrong with that, of course.  I would watch Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan in just about anything.

Here’s The Trailer For Boy Kills World

To be honest, Boy Kills World sounds like the logical conclusion of the Boy Meets World cinematic universe but apparently, this upcoming film has nothing to do with the 90s sitcom in which Topanga was basically bullied into getting married during her first year of college.

Instead, judging from this trailer, Boy Kills World appears to be the latest over-the-top action parody.  I have to admit that I chuckled a few more times than I would like to admit while watching this trailer.  The whole “I stole my inner voice from Mortal Kombat” thing made me laugh out loud.  Honestly, despite my general aversion to excessive violence, this film might be actually be kind of …. fun?

Produced by Sam Raimi, this film is coming out sometime next year, just in time for the Ben Savage congressional campaign.

Here’s The Trailer for Golda!

Here’s the trailer for Golda, a film about Israeli Prime Minster Golda Mier and her leadership during The Yom Kippur War of 1973.  Much as with Michael Caine’s The Great Escaper, this film looks like it could, among other things, allow a veteran performer to enter this year’s Oscar race.  Golda is scheduled to be released nationwide on August 25th.

Here’s The Trailer For The Exorcist: Believer

Fresh from destroying the Halloween franchise, David Gordon Green is prepared to work his magic on The Exorcist.

Here’s the trailer for The Exorcist: Believer.  Yes, Ellen Burstyn returns but who cares?  We all saw Halloween Ends.
