Live Tweet Alert: Join #ScarySocial For A Halloween Double Feature

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in a few weekly live tweets on twitter.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, we’ve got a special Halloween double feature!  First up, we’ve got 1987’s The Falling!  Also known as Alien Predators, this film features three teenagers who, while driving through Spain, find themselves transformed into flesh-eating mutants!  The Falling stars Dennis Christopher, Martin Hewitt, and Lynn-Holly Johnson!

After The Falling, we will be watching a true classic of both indie and horror cinema …. 1962’s Carnival of Souls!  We cannot wait to watch this eerie ghost story with you!

Along with watching these two films, we will be sharing trivia, playing games, and awarding special prizes!  Halloween is always fun at #ScarySocial!

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in a few weekly live tweets on twitter.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, I will filling in for Matthew Titus and hosting #FridayThrillerClub and #FridayHeretics as well!  So, that’s going to be three live tweets in a row.  What are we going to be watching?  I’m glad you asked.

#FridayThillerClub starts at 7:30 pm et with 1987’s Angel Heart!  Mickey Rourke is a detective.  Robert De Niro is a very special client.  This atmospheric and controversial mix of noir and horror was directed by Alan Parker!

#FridayNightFlix follows at 10 pm et, with 1981’s Full Moon High!  In this comedy, a teen becomes a werewolf!  You might even say that he’s a …. teen wolf!

Then, at 12:30 am et, it’s time for #FridayHeretics!  This week’s film will be 1976’s Burnt Offerings, starring Oliver Reed, Karen Black, Bette Davis, and a house that just want stop killing.

All three of these films are on Prime and everyone is invited to join us on twitter for tonight’s epic three-part live tweet!

Monday Live Tweet Alert: Join Us For Live Wire and Edward Scissorhands!

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in hosting a few weekly live tweets on twitter.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, for #MondayActionMovie, the film will be 1992’s Live Wire!  Selected and hosted by @BunnyHero, Live Wire is a thriller that stars a pre-James Bond Pierce Brosnan dealing with people who have been programmed to literally explode. The movie starts at 8 pm et and it is available on YouTube.

 

Following #MondayActionMovie, Brad and Sierra will be hosting the #MondayMuggers live tweet.  Tonight’s movie, starting at 10 pm et, will be 1990’s Edward Scissorhands, the Tim Burton classic that stars Johnny Depp as a boy who has scissors for hands!  The film is available on Prime!

In this adaptation of a Stephen King short story, the dead refuse to stay dead!

Tonight, for #MondayActionMovie, the film will be 1997’s Champions!  Selected and hosted by @Titus88Titus, Champions is about a retired modern day gladiator trying to avenge the death of his brother. The movie starts at 8 pm et and it is available on YouTube.

 

Following #MondayActionMovie, Brad and Sierra will be hosting the #MondayMuggers live tweet.  Tonight’s movie, starting at 10 pm et, will be 2018’s I Can Only Imagine.  The movie tells the story behind the song.  The film is available on Prime!

Tonight, at 10 pm et, I will be hosting #FridayNightFlix!  The movie?  2011’s Source Code! 

Can Jake Gyllenhaal prevent a bombing on a train?  That sound like a simple premise but, in Source Code, things get much more complicated.  This twisty sci-fi thriller from Duncan Jones was one of my favorite films of 2011 and I look forward to watching it with the Friday Night Flix crew!

Monday Live Tweet Alert: Join Us For Martial Outlaw and The Other Guys!

Tonight, for #MondayActionMovie, the film will be 1993’s Martial Outlaw!  Selected and hosted by RevMagdalen, this movie stars Jeff Wincott as a martial outlaw, whatever that is.  Judging from the poster, he does not wear a shirt.  The movie starts at 8 pm et and can be found on YouTube!

Following #MondayActionMovie, Brad and Sierra will be hosting the #MondayMuggers live tweet.  We will be watching 2010’s The Other Guys!  This hilarious comedy can be found on Netflix!
