Another Planet of the Apes film?
Indeed! And here’s the exclusive IMAX trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes which …. I mean, it might be good. The trailer is effective. The other Planet of the Apes films have largely been good, except for the one Tim Burton did. (Even the bad ones — like Battle For The Planet of the Apes — have been oddly entertaining.) That said, Andy Serkis was really the heart and soul of the whole reboot and he’s not in this one. On the plus side, the great Kevin Durand is in this film and if anyone was ever meant to be play a tyrannical warlord who takes over a post-apocalyptic Earth, it’s Kevin Durand.
Anyway, here’s the trailer!

I have a bit of a “love / hate” relationship with the new ones…I remember the real first one that blew my mind when I ultimately saw it, and I applaud bringing it back as a story worth continuing – hopefully they have a strong story to tell

An exciting glimpse at the trailer. I am definitely looking forward to watching this film soon. I’m a massive fan of the original POTA trilogy that starred Andy Serkis. Serkis set a high standard for these films through groundbreaking uses of motion capture technology. In his absence, I’m a little worried about how this sequel would turn out.
I recently had a chance to see “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and absolutely adored it. Here’s why I loved that film:
