Welcome to the Jungle with Jungle Comics!


Jungle Comics ran from 1940 t0 1954 and was full of stories of jungle adventure.  Many of them featured Kaanga, the jungle lord, who spent all of his time rescuing people from being sacrificed and eaten by wild animals.  Today, Jungle Comics is remembered for its exciting covers.  Below is just a small sampling of the covers of Jungle Comics!

Beware The Tentacles Of October!

Are you scared of tentacles?

Whether they’re reaching down from the sky or coming out of the water, the idea of being grabbed and, even worse, squeezed by several slimy tentacles is a scary one!  Perhaps that’s why it was such a popular image during the pulp age.  Below is just a sampling of some of the era’s tentacle horror, courtesy of some of the best artists to work in the pulps!
