4 Shots From 4 Films is just what it says it is, 4 shots from 4 of our favorite films. As opposed to the reviews and recaps that we usually post, 4 Shots From 4 Films lets the visuals do the talking!
I thought I’d try one of these “4 shots” posts. It’s really hard for me not to say anything, because each of these movies mean a lot to me, and the western remains my favorite genre even if I am a little stuck in the past. I’ll probably take a stab at a review of each of these films at some point. I hope you enjoy!
THE MAN FROM LARAMIE (1955)

RIDE LONESOME (1959)

RED SUN (1971)

UNFORGIVEN (1992)

Thanks for sharing this, Brad! By way of the recommendations from Allficker, yourself and Lisa during Convoy, I scooped up The Wild Bunch, which was awesome!! Thanks for that.
Also, Mifune in a western?! 🙂 I’ll have to keep an eye out for that.

WILD BUNCH is a great western for sure. And Mifune matched up with Bronson…all I can say is hell yeah!

I love seeing that “Red Sun” is getting some love…it doesn’t get mentioned a lot in the western canon – it’s on Tubi right now for those who don’t know…where I also saw this the other night – I was in a western mood and watched the film where Burt Lancaster shoots and badly wounds actor Hector Elizondo, lays him over his horse and says, “go back and tell him Valdez Is Coming!”

As long as I’m around RED SUN, will definitely get lots of love. The combination of Bronson & Mifune is a match made in heaven as far as I’m concerned! And I’m a fan of Lancaster’s early 70’s westerns LAWMAN & VALDEZ IS COMING.
