Okay, this might seem a little random but random is kind of my thing…
Does watching this 15 second video leave you as unsettled as it leaves me?
Seriously, I loved Juno and I’m looking forward to seeing Young Adult but the little Mandate Pictures logo seriously freaks me out. I mean…seriously. That little drummer girl is so intent and obviously passionate about her drumming but yet she has absolutely zero going on in the way of facial expressions. Looking at her, I find myself worried that she might be like that little girl from The Ring and she’s going to step out of the screen and try to kill me. Add to that, she apparently has a whole separate world trapped inside of her drum. That world is apparently full of giraffes and tourists and they all appear to be looking for a way out.

Through the Shattered Lens 
She looks like she’s trapped and beating a signal out hoping for a rescue. I doublechecked to see if my soul had been removed or if I was smudging up in photos.

Frank may be on to something, On the other hand, maybe she is God, and the Indians were right about the source of thunder.

It certainly is foreboding, especially since she’s pounding on what appeared to be a rather idyllic scene of a family strolling through a park. I’m guessing that if it appears right before a horror film, it’ll set the tone wonderfully. And if it plays before a drama, the audience will just forget about it.
