But he might finally have another hit film, with the upcoming release of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.  Judging from the trailer below … well, it looks like another Mission Impossible film, doesn’t it?  But, at least Jeremy Renner’s in it and we get to see that cute robot from the Bad Robot logo so I’m happy.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Win An Oscar In 2016…

Okay, probably not.

But still, the former governor of California has been getting some unexpectedly good buzz for his performance in the upcoming film zombie film Maggie.  In a role that reportedly emphasizes honest emotion over crowd-pleasing action, Schwarzenegger plays a small-town farmer whose daughter (Abigail Breslin) has been infected with a zombie virus.  The trailer, which was released today, seems to hint that Maggie is going to be a bit more thoughtful than your average Arnold Schwarzenegger zombie film.

Maggie is scheduled to be released on May 8th and, hopefully, it won’t be too overshadowed by the 2nd weekend of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Trailer #2: Tomorrowland

PCAS

Here’s the latest trailer for Tomorrowland.  I still can’t decide whether I’m excited about seeing this film or not.  The trailer has hints of brilliance but there’s a part of me that’s worried that this is going to turn out to be yet another summer film that’s more concerned with winning the Oscar for visual effects than in telling a particularly memorable story.

This latest trailer feels like it could be for a big budget version of Atlas Shrugged.  Perhaps George Clooney is John Galt?

Trailer: Welcome to New York

PCAS

Director Abel Ferrara’s thinly disguised film about French rapist Dominique Strauss-Kahn is finally getting an American release.  On March 27th, those of us in the states will finally get a chance to see and judge Welcome to New York for ourselves.  Here’s the trailer.

Trailer: Ex Machina

PCASSo, this looks like it might be good.  Ex Machina is the directorial debut of novelist and screenwriter Alex Garland.  Judging from the trailer, it appears to be another film about humans getting too close to a machine.  If nothing else, it has a great cast: Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, and Alicia Vikander.

The film will be released on April 10th.

Trailer: Samurai Cop 2

The improbable career of Tommy Wiseau continues with a supporting role in the upcoming film Samurai Cop 2.  Judging from the trailer, this appears to be one of those films where we are supposed to be impressed by the filmmaker’s ability to intentionally make a bad film.

I never saw the first Samurai Cop.  Will I be able to follow the sequel?

Oh, who am I kidding?

I’m not ever going to watch Samurai Cop 2

Here’s the trailer for Lost River!

Last year, Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut Lost River premiered in Cannes.  And, the film’s reception was not exactly positive.  However, judging from the trailer below, Lost River may be enough of a pretentious mess that it simply has to be seen.  The film will finally be available for viewing on April 16th!

Heroes Reborn — The Super Bowl Ad!

And finally, here’s one final Super Bowl preview to share with all of you.  Now, I have to be honest.  I never watched Heroes.  That guy who was always screaming in the commercials got on my nerves.  I did however enjoy bugging Dazzling Erin by continually saying, “Save the cheerleader, save the world” during the entirety of the show’s run.

Awwwww …. good memories.

Anyway, in the form of a 13-episode miniseries, Heroes is making a comeback on NBC and a lot of people online are excited about it.  Me, I’m still trying to get caught up on Agents of SHIELD…
