It’s Britney on the beach! This video was controversial when it was first released. It seems rather tame now.
This video was directed by photographer Herb Ritts and Britney’s boyfriend was played by French model Brice Durand. Supposedly, neither Justin Timberlake nor Lynne Spears were happy with this video. Lynne felt it was too explicit and Justin apparently had an issue with Britney kissing another guy, even though Britney was just acting, it was just for the music video, and it’s not as if Justin wasn’t messing around behind Britney’s back.
Last night, my sisters and I enjoy watching the Mission Impossible films.. In honor of all those hours of sisterly bonding, here is the great Tomoyasu Hotei performing the Mission Impossible theme song.
In 2022, sheriff’s deputies in Adams County, Ohio raided the home of rapper Afroman. According to the warrant, they were doing so on suspicion of drug trafficking and kidnapping. They found neither drugs nor kidnapping victims but they did find and seize over $5,000 worth of Afroman’s money. The money was later returned, with $400 of it missing. During the raid, they also damaged the front gate, blew up a door, and illegally turned off the house’s security cameras.
Afroman responded with several songs and videos about the raid, all utilizing the footage that security cameras recorded before being shut down. The deputies attempted to sue, claiming that the videos were an invasion of their privacy. The judge eventually threw out their lawsuit though another lawsuit, claiming that the video and the songs “defamed” the deputies was allowed to proceed. Yesterday, Afroman also won that court case.
So, I guess that means that we can now safely share Lemon Pound Cake.
Today’s music video of the day features two-time Oscar nominee, Kate Hudson! A lot of people have been a little snarky about Kate’s nomination for Song Sung Blue. Personally, I think her performance was great and the nomination was more than deserved. I wish her all the best of luck tonight!
This video was directed by the man who edited the controversial 1983 film, Angst. This video was also controversial and was banned in New Zealand for being too violent. Compared to what I see whenever I scroll through my twitter timeline, this video seems incredibly tame (albeit entertaining) today.
