Artist Profile: Morgan Kane (1916 — 2014)

Morgan Kane graduated from the Chicago Art Institute in June of 1942 and then served in the Army during World War II.  He was assigned to Office of Flying Safely, where he illustrated safety posters and flying manuals.  After the war, he pursued a career as an illustrator, moving first to Chicago and then to Connecticut.  Over the course of his long career, Kane illustrated magazines, paperbacks, and film posters.  According to the bio on his website, Morgan Kane was also a trained hypnotist and even served as president of the New York chapter of the National Federation of Hypnotists!
