Monday Live Tweet Alert: Join Us For Cyborg Cop and Best Seller!

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in hosting a few weekly live tweets on twitter.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, for #MondayActionMovie, the film will be 1993’s Cyborg Cop!  Selected and hosted by BunnyHero, Cyborg Cop stars David Bradley and John Rhys-Davies.  It’s a film about a cyborg who is a cop! The movie starts at 8 pm et and it is available on YouTube.

 

Following #MondayActionMovie, Brad and Sierra will be hosting the #MondayMuggers live tweet.  We will be watching 1987’s Best Seller, a classic thriller starring James Woods as an assassin and Brian Dennehy as the cop-turned-author who Woods wants to tell his story.  Both Dennehy and Woods give excellent performances in this conspiracy-themed thriller.  It is available on both Prime and Tubi and it starts at 10 pm et.

Tonight, for #ScarySocial, I will be hosting 1992’s Mikey!

Mikey is the heart-warming story of a 9 year-old with a crush.  Mikey also has amazing skills with a bow and arrow.  Not only that but he also knows how electricity works.  As his foster father put it, “Mikey’s perfect!”  If only the people around Mikey would stop dying….

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in a few weekly live tweets on twitter.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, at 10 pm et, I will be hosting #FridayNightFlix!  The movie?  1989’s Road House!

The name is Dalton!  Everyone thought that Dalton would be bigger but he’s the second best bouncer in the world and if anything happens to Wade Garrett, he’ll be the absolute best.  He’s a legend but can he clean up the wildest bar in Missouri?  Will Ben Gazzara convince him to switch sides?  Will Doc convince him to give peace a chance?  And will Tinker ever get over his fear of polar bears?  Just remember, pain don’t hurt.  Be nice until it’s time not to be nice.  And always check the boots for blades.

Monday Live Tweet Alert: Join Us For Flight 93 and Seven!

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in hosting a few weekly live tweets on twitter.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, for #MondayActionMovie, the film will be 2006’s Flight 93!  Selected and hosted by @Titus88Titus, Flight 93 is a docudrama about one of the planes that was hijacked on September 11th, 2001 and the heroic passengers who bravely fought back.  The movie starts at 8 pm et and it is available on YouTube.

Following #MondayActionMovie, Brad and Sierra will be hosting the #MondayMuggers live tweet.  We will be watching 1995’s Seven, the trend-setting and still disturbing horror film that established David Fincher as a director and which starred Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Richard Roundtree.  (Yes, Shaft is in the movie.)  The film is available on Netflix.  It starts at 10 pm et.

What happens when a rookie police officer is assigned to handle the last shift at a possibly haunted police station before the place is permanently shut down?  I have no idea but I have a feeling that it will be something horrific!  I’ll be finding out tonight and I invite you to join me.

Tonight, at 10 pm et, I will be hosting #FridayNightFlix!  The movie?  1987’s The Principal!

This film features Jim Belushi in his greatest role, high school school principal Rick Lattimore!  Rick rides a motorcycle, introduces his students to the concept of “No more!,” and teaches a kid to read!  He extends a hand to drug dealer Victor Duncan.  When Victor threatens to cut Rick’s hand off, Rick replies that he’s got another!  “He’s the principal, man!”  Of course, it all leads to a big afterschool fight.  You don’t become the principal if you don’t know how to throw a punch or two!

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in hosting a few weekly live tweets on twitter.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, for #MondayActionMovie, we are watching 1996’s Downdraft!  Selected and hosted by @RevMagdalen, Downdraft stars Vincent Spano and Kate Vernon in a story about computers and the damage that they do!  While the trailer below is in German, the film itself is Canadian.  That’s how you know it’s going to be good!

Following #MondayActionMovie, I will be filling in for my friends Brad and Sierra (who are on vacation this week) and guest hosting the #MondayMuggers live tweet.  We will be watching the original Rollerball, starring the great James Caan as a future athlete who is forced to choose between the comfort of selling out or the freedom of …. well, freedom.  It’s a classic sci-fi film, one that is more relevant today than ever.  We start at 10 pm et.  Here’s the trailer:

Tonight, for #MondayActionMovie, we are watching 1994’s Zero Tolerance!  Selected and hosted by @SweetEmmyCat, Zero Tolerance stars two great character actors, Robert Patrick and Titus Welliver!  It also features musician Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac fame.  I’m not sure who Fleetwood plays but there was probably a lot of cocaine on set.  Here’s the trailer:
