Lisa Marie’s Week In Review: 3/18/24 — 3/24/24

As I spend this Holy Week with my sisters, I shall be keeping Kate Middleton in my thoughts.

I’ve seen a lot of social media posts over the past few days that all, more or less, say that, “We should all feel ashamed for spreading rumors about William and Kate.”  While I agree that there are a lot of people who should be ashamed, I don’t really appreciate this “we” business.  I didn’t make a single joke, post a single rumor, or otherwise join in the online harassment of Kate and William.  The same is true of most of the people that I know.  Most people are better than that.  If anyone should feel ashamed, it’s the members of the media who spread rumors and innuendo for clicks and attention.  Don’t let them get away with pretending everyone else was in on it with them.

Lisa Marie’s Week In Review: 2/12/24 — 2/18/24

Hi, everyone!

Well, after three weeks of sickness, pain, and injury, I am finally feeling better.  My sprained ankle is healing up nicely and I’m up and walking again, even if I am limping a little.  This upcoming week, Jeff and I will be doing all of the romantic stuff that we were originally planning on doing this week.  (It’s hard to be romantic when you’re spending almost all day on the couch and crying because you turned your foot the wrong way during your ankle exercises.)  The most important thing, though, is that I feel like I’m back, both mentally and physically.  After spending the last few weeks in an emotional and pain-induced daze, I feel like I’m finally ready to jump back into the important things, like trying to predict the Oscars.

Lisa Marie’s Week In Review: 2/5/24 — 2/11/24

I was very good this week.  As much as I didn’t want to and as annoying as I sometimes found it all to be, I followed doctor’s orders and I spent most of the week resting and letting my sprained ankle heal.  The couch has become my new home and, fortunately, I’ve always been very adept at hopping.

You would think that this would have led to me watching a lot of television and a lot of movies but I actually spent most of this week listening to music, writing, and sleeping.  This week has made me appreciate sleep.

Lisa Marie’s Week in Review: 1/29/24 — 2/4/24

Hi!  This has been the week from Hell and, just when I thought it was over, I managed to twist my ankle.  So, I’m not happy right now.  I feel bad because I’ve gotten behind on everything that I usually review during the week.  I can catch up pretty easily next week and I know that this is the sort of thing that happens to everyone but I still feel like I’ve let our regular readers down.  I really am sorry about that.  I promise to make it up to everyone this upcoming week.

I only watched six films this week, that should be a clue to what I’ve been through.  Here they are:

  1. Assassination (1987)
  2. Cruel Intentions (1999)
  3. The Death of Me Yet (1971)
  4. Project Eliminator (1991)
  5. Terror In The Haunted House (1958)
  6. X (2022)

That’s it for this week.  Again, I apologize for not doing my usual in-depth week in review.  I hope all of my fellow writers and bloggers out there know how much I appreciate them.

Lisa Marie’s Week In Review: 1/22/24 — 1/28/24

The Oscar nominations were announced this week and I’ve been in a bit of a zone out ever since, even with all of the debate over whether Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig were snubbed by the Academy.  It takes so much time and effort to cover all of the events leading up to the Oscar nominations that, once the nominations actually are announced, it can be difficult to know what to do with yourself.
