Happy Labor Day!
Let’s celebrate being employed in America with the pulps with these work-filled covers!
The ultimate Labor Day scene comes from one of my favorite movies, Office Space. If you’ve ever worked in an office, you can relate to this scene. Be sure to sing along!
Happy Labor Day!
I have no idea what this day is supposed to celebrate but I hope everyone has a good one.
There doesn’t seem to be any agreed upon way to celebrate Labor Day. A few people have the day off and they’re the reason why I decided to hold off on going up to Lake Texoma until this upcoming, holiday-free weekend. Personally, I think the best way to celebrate any holiday is with a film festival so here are my suggestions for your Labor Day viewing:

Happy (early) Labor Day!
Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy and the rest of the Peanuts gang never did a special about Labor Day. I’m sure that if they had, it would have been the only special that we would have ever needed to understand this holiday. It would have been a September perennial, as important to the year as It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Unfortunately, we never got It’s The Labor Beagle, Charlie Brown and Linus never got to explain the turn meaning of Labor Day.

Welcome to the month of September! Here are twelve things to which I am looking forward!

Happy Labor Day from the Shattered Lens!
I’m not sure what this holiday celebrates. I guess it celebrates hard work but I rarely see humans working that hard. There’s so many hours during the day when humans should be paying attention to their cats but instead, they’re just hanging out in some office, store, or warehouse. Meanwhile, cats work 24 hours a day, patrolling our territory, searching for little rodents to leave on porches, bathing, controlling the bird population, and most importantly, taking naps. This weekend, while humans were either grilling or watching TV, a million cats were doing their job. You’re welcome.
So, to all of our human readers: enjoy your undeserved holiday while we cats continue to work hard to make sure that we’re all still here to celebrate in 2021.
