Trailer: Steve Jobs

To be honest, I’m really only interesting in seeing Steve Jobs because it stars Michael Fassbender and it was directed by Danny Boyle.  I do, however, think it will be interesting to see Seth Rogen in a dramatic role and I’m also curious to see if Kate Winslet can overcome the fact that screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is incapable of writing strong female characters.

(And for those of you about to go, “What about C.J. on The West Wing!?,” don’t.  Just don’t.  First off, everyone always cites C.J. as a strong female character in a Sorkin-penned melodrama and it’s gotten just a little bit boring.  Secondly, I never watched The West Wing because I had and continue to have a life.)

Here’s the latest trailer for the very Oscar baitish Steve Jobs.

Double Your Pleasure With Two Tom Hardys in Legend!

Will Tom Hardy finally get his Oscar nomination this year?  Well, he has already starred in one of the best films of the year, Mad Max: Fury Road, though I would argue that Charlize Theron is the one who deserves to be nominated for that film.

However, Hardy may have a chance of scoring a nomination for his performance in the fact-based gangster film, Legend!  Not only is Hardy playing a real-life killer (which always seems to be a good way to get nominated, just ask Steve Carell) but he’s also playing twins!

That’s double the Tom Hardy!

Legend will be released in October.

Fear The Walking Dead: The Reports In Four States And Vermont Teaser!

PCAS

Here’s the 2nd promo for AMC’s upcoming Fear the Walking Dead!  This promo still doesn’t feature any walkers and that’s probably for the best.  After all, we already know that this is a show about zombies.  Instead, in this promo, we actually get to listen to people talk.  On the characters claims that there have been reported outbreaks “in five different states!”

(He may be making the mistake of thinking that Vermont is a state.  It happens.)

Personally, I like the enigmatic approach that AMC is taking with the Fear The Walking Dead promos.  If nothing else, both this and the previous promo capture the atmosphere of impending doom that one would associate with a zombie apocalypse.

Here’s The First Look Promo For Fear The Walking Dead!

This promo for AMC’s upcoming Fear The Walking Dead is entitled Nick’s Escape.  It really doesn’t tell us anything about the show, beyond the fact that there’s a guy named Nick who can run.  It’s too early to say whether or not Nick is hot, largely because he’s running here and he’s too scared to do any hot guy facial expressions.

Still, the music is effective.

Fear The Walking Dead will premiere this August.

Here’s the Trailer for Boulevard, Robin Williams’s Final Film

I made out my latest Oscar predictions before I saw the trailer for Boulevard.  Filmed shortly before Robin Williams’s suicide, Boulevard features his final dramatic performance.  Could Robin Williams receive a posthumous nomination for his role here?  We’ll find out later this year.

Katniss is back! Here’s the Trailer For The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2!

Katniss Everdeen returns in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2!  If that title seems to be a little long and unwieldy, why not just do what we do hear at the TSL bunker and call it, “The Hunger Games: Jennifer Lawrence Kicks Ass…Again.”
