As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in a few weekly live tweets on twitter.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, at 9 pm et, Deanna Dawn will be hosting #ScarySocial!  The movie?  1995’s Piranha!

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in a few weekly watch parties.  On Twitter, I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday and I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday.  On Mastodon, I am one of the five hosts of #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We tweet our way through it.

Tonight, at 10 pm et, I will be hosting #FridayNightFlix!  The movie?  1973’s Ninja Warlord!

Live Tweet Alert – #MondayMuggers present NOBODY (2021), starring Bob Odenkirk!

Every Monday night at 9:00 Central Time, my wife Sierra and I host a “Live Movie Tweet” event on X using the hashtag #MondayMuggers. We rotate movie picks each week, and our tastes are quite different. Tonight, Monday July 7th, we are showing NOBODY (2021), starring Bob Odenkirk, Aleksey Serebryakov, Connie Nielsen, Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, RZA, and Christopher Lloyd.

The plot: A docile family man slowly reveals his true character after his house get burglarized by two petty thieves, which, coincidentally, leads him into a bloody war with a Russian crime boss.

So, if you think you might enjoy watching a “nobody” turn into a badass and take on the Russian mafia, and you’ve about 90 minutes to spare, then we’ve got the movie for you! Join us tonight for #MondayMuggers and watch NOBODY. It’s on Amazon Prime! I’ve included the trailer below:

As some of our regular readers undoubtedly know, I am involved in hosting a few weekly live tweets on twitter and occasion ally Mastodon.  I host #FridayNightFlix every Friday, I co-host #ScarySocial on Saturday, and I am one of the five hosts of Mastodon’s #MondayActionMovie!  Every week, we get together.  We watch a movie.  We snark our way through it.

Tonight, for #MondayActionMovie, the film will be 1996’s Lethal Tender!

#MondayMuggers present DARK ANGEL: THE ASCENT (1994), starring Angela Featherstone!

Every Monday night at 9:00 Central Time, my wife Sierra and I host a “Live Movie Tweet” event on X using the hashtag #MondayMuggers. We rotate movie picks each week, and our tastes are quite different. Tonight, Monday June 30th, we are showing DARK ANGEL: THE ASCENT (1994), starring the lovely Angela Featherstone, Daniel Markel, Nicolas Worth, Charlotte Stewart, Milton James, and Mike Genovese.

The plot: A demoness from Hell, Veronica Iscariot (Angela Featherstone), uninterested in tormenting the souls of damned sinners, ascends to the world above and finds our world full of evil and corruption. Veronica decides her mission in life is to punish the wicked and evil and goes about this with a bloody vengeance. Along the way she meets and falls in love with a doctor, Max Barris (Daniel Markel), who tends to her wounds after an accident.

So, if you think you might enjoy watching a demoness punish the wicked and evil with a bloody vengeance, while falling in love with a handsome doctor, then we just may have the movie for you! Join us tonight for #MondayMuggers and watch DARK ANGEL: THE ASCENT. It’s on Amazon Prime!

We rotate movie picks each week, and our tastes are quite different. Tonight, Monday June 23rd, we are showing AVENGEMENT (2019) starring Scott Adkins, Craig Fairbrass, Thomas Turgoose, and Nick Moran.

Convicted felon Cain Burgess (Scott Adkins) escapes prison and heads out to take revenge on those he holds responsible. The consensus on Rotten Tomatoes is as follows:

“AVENGEMENT compensates for a lack of narrative originality with thrilling sequences of violent, bone-crunching action, elevated by Scott Adkins’ brutally intense performance.”
