Tonight, my team, the Texas Rangers, won game one of the World Series! We were trailing when we went into the 9th but we tied it up with two runs and then, in the 11th inning, Adolis Garcia hit a home run and took us to a 6-5 victory over the Diamondbacks!
The Diamondbacks played a good game and this World Series isn’t close to being over. But, for now, I’m just happy and excited for my team! I’m proud of them!
GO RANGERS!

This is from 1982. I get the feeling that the poster is probably the best thing about this movie.

Congratulations to the Arizona Diamondbacks for winning the NLCS! They beat the Phillies in Game 7 and I’m actually really proud of them. Just like with my Rangers when they were playing the Astros, the Diamondbacks were the underdogs. A lot of people wrote off their chances with the Phillies took the lead in the series. But the Diamondbacks never gave up and never stopped fighting and they won Game 7 with a score of 4-2!
Not only did both the Rangers and the Diamondbacks prove the naysayer wrong but they also saved us from having to sit through another Phillies/Astros World Series. I’ll be cheering for my Rangers but I’m still happy for the Diamondbacks and all of their fans!
Go Rangers!
Amazing Detective Tales started out as a pulp magazine called Scientific Detective Monthly. The first issue of Scientific Detective Monthly was published in January of 1930 but the low sales convinced the publisher that audiences were turned off by the word “Scientific.” In June, Scientific Detective Tales was rebooted as Amazing Detective Tales, with covers that combined horror and crime. Unfortunately, the title change did not lead to greater sales and Amazing Detective Tales was cancelled after five issues. The covers, which were done by some of the best artists working in the pulps, remain highly sought by collectors.
Here are the five covers of Amazing Detective Tales:
