Best Production Design — Frankenstein
Best Cinematography — Train Dreams
Best Costume Design — Frankenstein
Best Film Editing — Sinners
Best Makeup and Hairstyling — Frankenstein
Best Sound — F1
Best Visual Effects — F1
Best Original Score — Sinners
Best Original Song — Golden from KPop Demon Hunters
Best Documentary Feature — The Perfect Neighbor
Best International Feature — The Secret Agent
Best Animated Short — The Retirement Plan

Through the Shattered Lens 
Regardless of my personal tastes (a couple of these aren’t even worth watching—as is the case every year), I think you nailed it; there might be more wins for One Battle After Another somewhere in there. I wish F1 would win more but I think you pretty much summed up where it will have the strongest chances. Sinners, deservedly, will win big. No question. All in all, a stronger set of options than there’s been in some time. There have been some truly abysmal years where the Oscar’s almost exclusively catered to pretense.

I just posted my thoughts on 9 of the categories, and while I think two films are going to have b ig nights. I don’t see the sweep you do for “Sinners.” I think it could get Best Picture, and Michael B. Jordan will take Best Actor, but it’s rare for the Directors Guild winner NOT win the Oscar as well so I think it will be Paul Thomas Anderson. What’s interesting to me is that both Directors Anderson and Coogler WILL take home the screenplay Oscars, so each will have a big night for sure! It will be a fun show to watch!
