Horror on TV: The Twilight Zone 1.13 — “The Four of Us Are Dying”

In this episode of the Twilight Zone, a con man (Harry Townes) has the ability to change his face to make himself appear like anyone he wants to be. Needless to say, this ability doesn’t quite work out as well for him as he might have hoped.

This episode originally aired on January 1st, 1960.

  1. Very good, interesting episode. Man who can change his face into another man’s face right away on desire. First, the man changes his face into the face of a recently deceased musician in a club, so that he can embrace the deceased man’s performing, singing girlfriend. Then, he changes his face again outside the club to avoid a man he doesn’t want to see. Then, he changes his face again into a murdered goon by another gangster. The goon( who sort of looks like and acts angry and menacing like Ray Liotta ) visits the gangster at his apartment and threatens him and takes a large sum of money from him. He then, while being chased by the gangster’s henchmen, changes his face again. Then he runs into that man’s father. The father, who has been seriously hurt and betrayed by his son, shoots him. We watch, as he’s dying on the ground, change through all four of his faces from the episode as he dies. Very good, interesting episode.
