Horror On TV: Twilight Zone Ep. 1 — “Where is Everybody?”

With Halloween only two days away, what better time to watch the pilot episode of the original Twilight Zone.

“Where Is Everybody?” was written by Rod Serling and directed by Robert Stevens.  It was first aired on October 2nd, 1959.

  1. Rod Serling didn’t fancy this episode very much, for reasons that you can hear for yourself on the DVD. There is also the unaired version of this episode available on DVD. Of course, the episodes would eventually get much better.

  2. “Where is everybody” is a good episode. One of the many of many sureal feeling episode about someone dealing with a supernatural phenomenon while watching his/her confusion, surprise, and bewilderment while dealing with the different experiences and happenings going on. This episode was one of many of them where a man is wandering a town where every single humanbeing has completely vanished off the face of the earth. Another thing that I noticed about the town in this episode, and I dont know if anyone else noticed this, but I think that this is the exact same town square that was used in “Back to the future”. I even recognized the building that was used as the clock tower building in BTTF.
