My boyfriend and I recently sat down and watched this 1974 made-for-TV movie. Jeff enjoyed it while I thought Killdozer was perhaps one of the silliest films I have ever seen in my life. That’s not surprising, however. Killdozer is a guy film all the way, celebrating both the destructive power of machinery and the ability of men to tame that power.
Killdozer may not be a great film but it’s a film that feels rather appropriate for October.

Wow – “Killdozer”. I don’t know how you are finding some of these show and films, but I fear some of them are revealing just how long in the tooth I really am. I saw this when it was originally broadcast. I remember watching it with my sister. I think we knew that it was silly, but we took it seriously enough to make a point to watch it. Still, I think once may have been enough. But maybe once more, for “old” times sake… 🙂

Killdozer’s production reminds me of some of the cheesy, low-budget flicks of the early 80’s. Remember Mega-Force?

I have not seen Mega-Force, though it do vaguely remember the title. I just looked it up. At a glance, in addition to its limited budget, I imagine the film struggled trying to sell Barry Bostwick,as an action hero.
