We Are What We Are is a remake of a disturbingly intense 2010 Mexican film about a family of cannibals. Will the remake match the original’s intensity? It’s hard to imagine that it could but, judging from the trailer, the filmmakers are at least going to try.
Through the Shattered Lens 
It looks interesting enough and if there’s one thing the horror scene has been lacking of for years it’s the “Cannibal” subgenre. Interesting how this and a Canadian direct-to-video, The Colony, and Eli Roth’s homage to Cannibal Holocaust are all arriving within a year of each other.
While I’m still a huge zombie genre fan I wouldn’t mind a revival of the good ol’ cannibal subgenre. Definitely would introduce this generation’s young horror fans to something they’ve only heard of in whispers.
