Congratulations to the Diamondbacks!

A big congratulations to the Arizona Diamondbacks for beating the Phillies 5-6 and tying up the NLCS!

I really hope the Diamondbacks can maintain their momentum and win their conference because, just in case the Asstros do end up in the World Series, it’ll be at least easier for me to cheer against them if they’re playing against Arizona than if they’re playing against Philadelphia.  If the Philadelphia and Houston end up in the World Series, I’ll have to cheer for Houston by default.  If it’s Houston and Arizona, I’ve got some breathing room.

Of course, my main hope is that the Rangers will get it together and win the next two games of the ALCS!

The Astros Now Lead The ALCS

This game was painful!

The Rangers went into the ninth leading the Astros but then Jose Altuvie hit his 26th season post-season career home run and the score went from being 2-4, Rangers to 5-4, Astros.  The Rangers always seem to struggle at home but the good news is that, lately, Houston has been struggling at their home too.  The ALCS is returning to Houston so let’s hope the Rangers can turn things around.  The Astros are one game away from returning to the World Series and, if they’re joined by the Phillies, it’ll be another years with two most hated teams in the league fighting it out in the World Series.

Normally, I’d cheer for Astros in that case but I might not this year.  Not after Martin Maldonado deliberately hit Adolis Garcia with a pitch.  Way to keep up classy, Houston.  It would take a lot to make me support a team from Philadelphia but the Astros are really determined to help me do it.

The ALCS Is Tied Up

That was brutal.  Tonight, the Astros won Game 4 of the ALCS by a score of 10-3.  The ALCS is all tied up now.  You all know I’m a Rangers fans so tonight’s game was hard to watch.  But if I’m going to brag whenever the Rangers win, I guess I have to be willing to acknowledge when they get beat, too.

I’ll always love my team no matter what happens but I hope tomorrow’s game is a better one for the Rangers.

Congratulations to the Diamondbacks On Winning Game Three of NLCS!

Congratulations and a big thank you to Arizona Diamondbacks for winning Game 3 of NLCS and bringing some suspense to the MLB playoffs!  Based on the past two games in the NLCS, I thought the Phillies were going to sweep the series but, with their 1-2 victory over the Phillies, the Diamondbacks have proven that they’re still in this!

Now, let’s how things go in Arlington.

Congratulations to the Rangers For Still Leading The ALCS!!!

Congratulations to the Texas Rangers for continuing the lead the ALCS by 2 games to 1!

Tonight’s game was difficult for me, as a Rangers fan, to watch.  The Astros won the game by a score of 8-5.  The Rangers did come alive for two innings and they managed to narrow the Astros lead down to three runs but, in the end, the Astros came out on top.

I know there was a chance this would happen.  The Rangers have been undefeated in the playoffs up until tonight and it’s rare for any team to keep up that type of streak.  Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better game for my team and we’ll clinch that third victory on our way to four.

Congratulations To The Phillies On Winning Game 2 of the NLCS!

Once again, I have to say congratulations to the Phillies for their decisive victory in the NLCS!  They just won game 2, defeating the Diamondbacks by a score of 0-10!  Almost every hit that the Phillies got led to a run.  That’s pretty amazing and, if you’re a Phillies fan, you have a lot of reasons to be happy.  Of course, if you’re hoping that your team will be the one to beat the Phillies in the World Series, that 0-10 final is scary to even think about.

Tomorrow, the Rangers face off against the Astros in Arlington.  Go Rangers!

The Phillies Win Game One Of The NLCS!

Obviously, I’m more concerned with who is going to win the ALCS but still, I want to congratulate the Phillies on winning Game 1 of the NLCS and taking the first step to making my dream of a Rangers/Phillies World Series come true!  The Phillies beat the Diamondbacks by a score of 3-5.

Congratulations, Phillies!  One of the things that I love about baseball is that the season lasts almost the entire year and no one’s journey to the playoffs is easy or guaranteed.  Baseball makes you work for it.  I know that all of the players playing in both league’s championship series have to be so excited right now and I’m happy for all of them!

The Rangers Win Game Two of the ALCS!

GO RANGERS!

That was a scary game.  The Rangers started out by getting four hits during the first inning but the Astros kept chipping away at that lead and showing why you can never count them out.  The Rangers held on, though, and won by a score of 5-4!

We’re now 2-0 in the ALCS!  I’m so proud of my team!

As for the NLCS tonight, I can’t stand the Phillies so I hope they win so my Rangers can beat them in the World Series!  But even if the Diamondbacks win, I’ll be celebrating tonight!

The Rangers did it!

Sure, I would have liked to have won by more than a score of 2-0 but the important this is that the Rangers won the first game of ALCS!  They went into the game as underdogs to the Astros and they’re coming out as winners!  There’s still more games to go and the Astros should never be counted out but this is definitely a good way to get things started!

Tonight, the Rangers and the Astros will be meeting in Game One of the ALCS.  It’s the first time that these two teams have played each other in the postseason.  It’s the first meeting of Texas’s two baseball teams and one of those teams will go on to the World Series.

Yeah, I’m nervous.

When the Astros previously went to the World Series, I cheered for them.  Even after all of the cheating was revealed, I still cheered for the Astros because they were representing my home state and the American League.  But, after a ten-year play-off drought and after sticking with this team through so many disappointing seasons, I want my Rangers to finally return to the World Series.  The last time we went to the World Series was in 2011.  The Rangers were the better team but they still lost to the Cardinals.  I want this to be a year when the winner of the World Series is not only a Texas team but also my team.  This year, I want to see the Rangers defeat the NCLS and if that means they keep Philadelphia from winning the World Series, that would be even better.  Sorry, Astros.

It won’t be easy.  The Rangers often struggled against the Astros during the regular season.  But no one gave the Rangers much of a chance of sweeping the Rays and the Orioles either.

Either way, it’s going to be a great ALCS between two great Texas team.  Go Rangers!
