Honestly, what better way to start the New Year than with my favorite band, Saint Motel?
I like this video because they’re stars, they’ve got a tour bus, they’re driving across the country, and they’ve got adoring fans everywhere but the members of the band still come across as just being a very cool and laid back group of people. They’re having fun and they’re passing that fun on to the folks who come to see and hear them. Saint Motel is staying golden.
I saw Saint Motel in Dallas in 2020. They’re a great live band. They bring a lot of energy to the stage and it’s obvious that they love their fans. I recommend this band to everyone. Hopefully, they’ll provide the soundtrack to my 2025.
Enjoy!
For today’s music video of the day, we have this visually stunning offering from my favorite band, Saint Motel!

Today’s music video of the day is an early one from one of my favorite groups, Saint Motel!

It’s happening!
Seriously, any new music video from Saint Motel is cause for celebration. This is the first video to be released for The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack: Part Three and it would appear to involve A/J being stalked by an intergalactic admirer.
Along with A/J being chased by the UFO, be sure to keep an eye out for Dak driving a taxi and Greg and Aaron as two drunken revelers walking down the sidewalk.
Enjoy!

What’s this?
It’s a great video for a great song performed by my current favorite band, Saint Motel! The video was directed by A/J Jackson, who is also the lead singer. (I nearly called him the “adorable lead singer” but, to be honest, the entire band is pretty damn adorable.) Saint Motel has always been as much about the visual arts as it’s been about the music. I saw Saint Motel live just a few weeks ago and seriously, they’re great. It was a fun show and if you ever get a chance to see them, take it!
I should also note that this song was apparently inspired by a night that the band spent in the town of Van Horn, Texas. I’ve actually been to Van Horn and this video does a pretty good job of capturing the place. I get the feeling that I may like the town a little bit more than the members of Saint Motel but no matter. It’s a good song and a good video and the dog is cute.
Enjoy!
Let’s get this week off to a good start with this video from Saint Motel!
If this video doesn’t make you want to dance, I don’t know what to tell you.
That is Miles Brown, also known as Baby Boogaloo, dancing. At the time of this video, he was around eight years old. He’s currently a part of the cast of Black-ish, playing Jack Johnson.
Enjoy!
Today’s music video of the day is Saint Motel’s My Type. I don’t have too much to say about this one, beyond the fact that I like the retro feel of both the song and the video. This is a fun song to dance to and that’s certainly something that this video captures.
This video was directed by A/J Jackson, Saint Motel’s lead vocalist. Jackson has said that he was going for a cross of “early 70s cigarette ads and New York street photography.” Myself, I like to think of the video as being an outtake from a lost Joe Sarno movie.
This video’s cinematographer was Mario Contini while Cody Fusina is credited with production design.
Enjoy!
