It’s the holidays!  I’ve started my shopping but I got a lot more left to go!  Will we have a snowy Christmas this year?  Probably not but who knows?  Maybe we’ll get some snow in January!

Ryan O’Neal, RIP.  There’s no point in pretending that Ryan O’Neal didn’t have his demons but he also starred in two of my favorite 70s films, Barry Lyndon and The Driver.  He was especially well-cast in Barry Lyndon, in which his steady presence held together one of Kubrick’s most challenging films.  And you know what?  It’s easy to make fun of Love Story but Ryan O’Neal gave exactly the performance that film needed to work.

On Saturday, my friends and I had our annual viewing of Santa Claus Conquers The Martians.  I never get tired of singing Hooray for Santy Claus!  Here’s what else I watched, read, and listened to this week:

It’s December!  I can’t believe that this year is nearly over!  It seems like time has just flown by and before we know it, it’ll be 2024!

There’s so much to do this month.  I’ve got a lot of movies and books to get caught up on and I’ve got a wonderful holiday for which to prepare!

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?  I love It’s A Wonderful Life and The Godfather.  And yes, The Godfather is a Christmas movie!  Tom Hagen got the Reynolds Pen after all!  I also can’t wait for my annual viewing of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians!

Greetings from beautiful Lake Texoma!  I celebrated my birthday on Thursday and now, I’m looking forward to a week of rest, relaxation, and contemplation.   What can I say?  I’m still recovering from October!

(I always find it amusing to compare how many reviews are posted per day in October to how many are posted in November.  I think everyone here at TSL needs the 30 days of November to recover from Horrorthon and to get ready for our December spectacular.)

Anyway, truth be told, I am really tired and my attempts to come up with something profound to write are running into the brick wall of my need to rest.  So why don’t I just let you see what I watched, read, and listened to this week?  In the picture below, from the T and T “movie” Straight Line, Amy Taler (played by Alex Amini) and T.S. Taylor (Mr. T.) shows us how not to dress if you’re an attorney who has just rushed over to Toronto’s dirtiest police station to represent a teenager who has been accused of murder.
