One of my favorite Charles Bronson films is MR. MAJESTYK, and one of my favorite scenes in any movie is this badass masterpiece. It encompasses just about everything I love in a movie. It has the beautiful Linda Cristal. It has the slimy Paul Koslo who doesn’t really understand who he’s dealing with. It has Bronson saying tough guy lines in a way that only he can say them…”you make sounds like you’re a mean little ass-kicker…” And finally it has that shotgun. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
Enjoy my friends, and have a great weekend!! This should help!
Love this film too, was one of my ‘Number 8 bus!’ sojourns into Santa Monica, to watch it by myself in a dark theater with a few dozen other Bronson enthusiasts, all laughing and ‘ooohing’ and shouting ‘Yes!’ at the right moments. Have reconsidered this film, now I place it in the “Vetsploitation” category, along with BILLY JACK (1971), TAXI DRIVER (1976), ROLLING THUNDER (1977), and THE FARMER (1977).
These films are perfect to show the eternal conflict of ‘good vs. evil’, easy to understand in any language. Prompting this recent quote, addressing those who prefer compassion, understanding, and tolerance to the point where a man cannot get his melons in…“He who spares the wolf sacrifices the sheep.” – Nayib Bukele

Vince Majestyk illustrates everything I love about Bronson. He had no interest in kicking ass, but was perfectly capable if he had to, and he knew it.

His work in the 70’s is unbelievable: “The Mechanic”, “Hard Times”, “Death Wish”, “Red Sun” and more and more…what an Icon!

I’ve always said his run of films from 1968-1977 could rival anyone’s. Bronson is a truly underrated actor and star.

He is indeed…it’s interested the people who don’t get the same level of respect…possibly because they make films across genres that sometimes aren’t respected…a shame

“Seems like there is no use tryin´ to get on your good side”.
This scene is awesomely perfect: seen it dozens of times and always makes me happy.
Compassion is fine, but when things get tough & rough there´s no use for further talkin.
MR. MAJESTYK is my number 4 on Bronsons “best of the best”-list (equal with DW 1).

I love this scene as well. I easily could have chosen it as well. Majestyk isn’t scared of nothing.
