This is from 1974. Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of the artist responsible for this. I’m more worried about whether or not Hillbilly John is going to be able to outrun that giant buzzard. It does not look good for him.

I just looked it up, and as I suspected it’s based on a Manly Wade Wellman story, “Who Fears The Devil?” Interesting–I had no idea that anyone had ever tried to make a movie from Wellman’s Silver John.
