Greg Manchess is an illustrator from Kentucky, who has been an active and prolific cover artist ever since he received his BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1977. Below are several covers that he did for the Hard Case Crime’s line of pulp reprints.

Funny how I never realized that Michael Crichton wrote under a pseudonym. Tom Sniegoski I’ve read before and also Ed McBain. These covers are great and just shows that pulp novels and their covers never truly went away.

I’v e been in the art game for a very long time (you’ll just have to take my word for that), and one thing I’ve learned is that art collectors, curators and publishers (like all you folks) are as important as the artists themselves. This is especially true when this type of niche art is involved; … the work of very talented men and women whose art might otherwise slip into the cracks during the move from print to digital.
Keep it up!
